Best Performance: North Dakota 19, (#16) Portland St. 17 - John Santiago and QB Keaton Studsrud each run for over 100 yards against a Viking defense that was allowing only 55 rushing ypg coming in.
Worst Performance: Weber St. 0, Southern Utah 44 - The Thunderbirds undoubtedly could've just knelt the ball every offensive play thanks to 3 non-offensive touchdowns and 5 Weber picks.
Most Surprising Result: Sacramento St. 20, Northern Colorado 27 - The Hornets lose to the presumptive bottom dwellers despite outgaining them 438-179 and keeping their offense out of the endzone.

Best Performance: (#22) Southeastern Louisiana 30, Lamar 27 - The Lions may actually be finding a passing game as QB D'Shaie Landor threw for 283 on just 20 attempts and accounted for 3 total touchdowns.
Worst Performance: Northwestern St. 31, Incarnate Word 45 - Demons start 0-5 for the second time in the I-AA/FCS era (2009).
Most Surprising Result: Northwestern St. 31, Incarnate Word 45 - The Demons are shredded on the ground again, this time by a weak rushing team.
Best Performance: (#3) North Dakota St. 28, (#5) South Dakota St. 7 - The Bison hold the previously unstoppable Jackrabbits to 238 total yards and minus-4 yards on the ground.
Worst Performance: Missouri St. 28, (#21) Indiana St. 56 - The Bears convincingly lose their 6th. straight MVFC game and their 9th. straight DI game.
Most Surprising Result: (#3) North Dakota St. 28, (#5) South Dakota St. 7 - Has the Bison defense fully rebounded from the Montana game (and graduation losses), or is this a sign SDSU is ready to fade?
Best Performance: (#17) Eastern Kentucky 27, (FBS) Kentucky 34 (OT) - The Colonels outrush Kentucky 180-55, but can't stop the Wildcat passing attack late.
Worst Performance: Murray St. 10, Southeast Missouri St. 27 - The Racers lose their 6th. straight conference game by allowing Tremane McCullough to run for 220 yards.
Most Surprising Result: (#17) Eastern Kentucky 27, (FBS) Kentucky 34 (OT) - Hopefully EKU will focus on the "playing an SEC team tough" part and not dwell on the "blowing a 2 touchdown lead late" bit.

Worst Performance: Davidson 35, Valparaiso 42 - Well, it was pretty obvious whoever lost this game would be mentioned here.
Most Surprising Result: Drake 14, Campbell 24 - Bulldogs fall to Campbell for the first time in 6 all-time meetings.
Tomorrow: the rest of the playoff conferences.

It wasn't as bad as it looked. We would have won if we had executed better, tackled better, had a better game plan, made better coaching decisions, stopped their rush and gotten to their quarterback.

Can you "honorably mention" that which does not exist?

Well good luck with that. Way to stay positive.

Best Performance: Duquesne 27, Central Connecticut St. 10 - Dukes rack up 524 yards and a 4-0 turnover advantage in a comfortble win.
Worst Performance: Wagner 6, Robert Morris 9 - Seahawks gain just 170 yards and make one less field goal than RMU.
Most Surprising Result: Bryant 24, Monmouth 31 - I have no idea who's going to win the NEC, but I am pretty sure they'll be easy pickings in the first round of the playoffs.

Best Performance: (#6) James Madison 38, Stony Brook 20 - The Dukes put up 294 rushing yards against what had been a very good run defense.
Worst Performance: Albany 0, Holy Cross 37 - A puzzling performance that ends the Danes' 6-game non-conference winning streak against FCS teams.
Most Surprising Result: Delaware 24, (#25) William & Mary 23 - Just when you thought the Hens were ready to go the way of Terri Schiavo (too soon?), they show some fight and run over a good defense.
Best Performance: (#18) Liberty 41, (FBS) Georgia St. 33 - The Flames win rushing 263-11 and possess the ball more than 43 minutes in a nice, albeit expected, victory.
Worst Performance: Presbyterian 21, Western Carolina 33 - The Blue Hose did at least seem to have their defense going for them, but not so much now after allowing 542 yards to the Catamounts.
Most Surprising Result: Monmouth 31, Bryant 24 - The Hawks move to 6-1 all-time against Bryant.
Best Performance: Furman 17, South Carolina St. 3 - Paladins win turnovers 3-0 in front of a weather-weary, almost nonexistent crowd.
Worst Performance: VMI 22, Bucknell 28 (OT) - Keydet K Dillon Christopher made a 40-yard field goal to tie the game at the end of regulation, then missed a 38-yarder to begin overtime.
Most Surprising Result: Mercer 33, Wofford 34 (OT) - The Bears are 1-7 in SoCon play since joining, but 5 of those 7 losses were by one score. A missed extra point cost them their chance here.

Best Performance: Dartmouth 41, Penn 20 - The Williams "brothers" have big days: Dalyn completes 92% of his passes for 336 yards and gets 6 total TDs while Victor catches 12 balls for 213 yards and 2 TDs.
Worst Performance: Cornell 21, Colgate 28 - The Big Red lose their 7th. straight non-conference game.
Most Surprising Result: Columbia 5, Princeton 10 - The weather was obviously a factor here, but the Lions now have 2 one-score losses in 3 games this season after only playing one team within one score in the previous 2 years combined.

Best Performance: Bethune-Cookman 28, NC Central 26 - The Wildcats counter NC Central's 26-point burst by scoring 3 straight touchdowns to end the game.
Worst Performance: Florida A&M 27, Savannah St. 37 - Falling behind 30-7 and ending Savannah State's 24-game losing streak might be a hall of fame effort in the "Worst Performance" category.
Most Surprising Result: Savannah St. 37, Florida A&M 27 - Not only did the Tigers end a 24-game skid, they ended a 31-game streak of scoring less than 30 points.
Best Performance: Grambling 59, Jackson St. 27 - 3 turnovers, 12 penalties, and poor redzone numbers (both sides of the ball) more than offset potent yardage numbers for JSU.
Worst Performance: Texas Southern 23, Alabama St. 41 - Tigers allow 374 rushing yards to a team that was averaging 151 ypg coming in.
Most Surprising Result: Grambling 59, Jackson St. 27 - It seems almost inevitable that it will be Grambling/Alcorn in the SWAC Championship game.
