I mean, seriously, two people just walked between Christie and the camera. WTF is CNN doing?
There isn't much room between Christie and anything.

How I'd rank it:

1. Fiorina-but damn she looked pissed the whole time...

2. Rubio: but didn't he do really well in the last debate and it not translate to a rise in the polls?

3. Bush
-- Christie
-- Trump: at certain times he was number 1, and at others he was near last..Definitely #1 in entertainment..
---Kasich

(A lot of the below just didn't get enough air time)..
7. Cruz
-- Paul
-- Walker

10. Carson- Gosh he is so monotone. I swear if he gave a 5 minute speech he could put people to sleep.
---- Huckabuck- god he was sweating so much..

Well that was an interesting debate. How did the GOP agree to have CNN host this thing? The entire first half it was pretty clear that their intent was to just smear the whole panel and try to get them fighting amongst themselves. It was really a terrible debate IMO. That said, there were some people that helped and hurt their position IMO...

Helped (in order)
Fiorina
Rubio
Christie
Kasich
Bush

Hurt (worst to least)
Carson
Walker
Paul
Huckabee
Cruz
Trump

Carson is a real likable guy, and I really love the things he says.
But I think voters needed to see a more aggressive tone, at least once, at some point in the debate.
I think Bush and Trump showed a good contrast in persona; serious and lighthearted. Christie did as well but to a lesser extent.
Most of the other candidates were too one sided in their deliveries.

Maybe Priebus figured that, if they let FOX host the first one, they'd try the "fair and balanced" approach by going to CNN this time. CNN played it all for theater, which is not surprising in this sound-bite, social media political era. The role of the MSM is to provide entertainment, not substance. And to think that we actually went without televised debates between Kennedy-Nixon and Ford-Carter. Were we any worse off?

Every interesting dream I started in my sleep last night was rudely interrupted by Jake Tapper saying, "thank you 93henfan".

Dude, that motherfvcker was annoying last night with the "thank you Senator Cruz", "thank you Mr. Trump", "thank you Dr. Carson", etc just when each person was just getting to the good part.

Also, Dana Bash. M, F, K? I don't know why, but that giant jewbeak sort of turns me on.

Agreed. The 1st half of the debate with Tapper trying to turn it into a tabloid fest was complete garbage.

And like 93 said, Tapper kept interjecting himself "thank yo so and so" a million f'ing times. So annoying. Why not just have a buzzer so it doesn't have to be the moderator who keeps cutting everyone off?

And Tapper let his liberal bias show when he said "undocumented immigrant" I counted at least 7 times. Never once said illegal immigrant. Someone needs to tell these libtards there is nothing undocumented about these people. They are loaded with documents. Fraudulent docs. Or valid docs fraudulently obtained.

And JFC do they not have AC at the Reagan library? All the candidates were sweating. Like I said about Huckabee- be was sweating his balls off. Caught Rubio using a hankee to wipe away the sweat...

The Conks shouldn't do any more debates in CNN. Just stick to FNC..

As they went to a commercial break, there was a shot of the stage (from behind) that showed how elevated in the room it was. Add the temporary TV lighting and the audience and I could understand that it could be unusually warm in that building.

Here is a shot of the Library without the stage:

Well that does explain it. Was probably 80+ up there with the people & lights. Course you'd think someone on the conk production side would have realized it & put some big oscillating fans behind the candidates or portable AC units or something..Because you know CNN wasn't going to do anything to cool it down..

Yes. He had the biggest move up after the last debate and he really was a non-factor this debate. It's not that he was particularly bad, but he followed up a homerun with a bunt.

Well the whole 1st half of the debate it was the libtard Tapper led tabloid whack a Trump. He sat there stirring the pot encouraging everyone to get a shot in. So it might have had the opposite effect either pissing people off against the tabloid attacks or generating sympathy..
