My biggest beef with Kim Davis is that she gives too much free air time to Huckabee.

Once is curious

Twice is queer

I'd say Freddie checked the queer box several times

Plus the LBGTFHRAXTGHJ crowd claims him

Even the Westboro nut jobs don't like Kim Davis

MOREHEAD, Ky. — The Westboro Baptist Church, a Kansas group known for its caustic anti-gay rhetoric, took aim at Kim Davis on Monday, accusing the Kentucky county clerk of hypocrisy and adultery.

Davis, an Apostolic Christian, has garnered worldwide attention for refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples on religious grounds. But she also has acknowledged that her past included three divorces before she found religion.

Phelps-Roper said Monday that divorce and remarriage is equivalent to living in adultery and that Davis’ first marriage is her only legitimate union. If Davis has truly come to Christ, she would divorce her current husband and put her marriages in the past, Phelps-Roper said.

In the meantime, she argued that Davis is obligated to follow the law and issue licenses because “God hates oath breakers just like he hates adultery and he hates same-sex marriage.” Phelps-Roper said Davis should instead protest same-sex marriage on her own time.

Totally unrelated to previous posts but something just occurred to me. We have a Constitutional stipulation that there shall be no religious test for public office. We also have a Constitutional stipulation that Congress shall make no law prohibiting the free exercise of religion.

When you say "free exercise" you're not saying that you're just free to believe what you want. You're saying you have a right to exercise the belief. So this is an interesting thing.

How can you say there is no religious test for public office then say that if someone assume public office they are not free to exercise their religion during the discharge of their responsibilities?
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?
