Albany returned 8 starters on defense but their best defensive player & only returning All CAA defensive player (3rd team) LB out for season when went down against Buffalo.

Course JMU had to suspend one of their defensive starters (probably one of their top 2 DL and top 1/2 doz defensive players) to even things up a little..

Feel a little better, VU is now only -18.5. I'd written those 5dimes lines down Monday and didn't bother this morning looking them up again. Most have moved .5 to 2.5 points. Updated it...

Vad Lee, who only threw 7 picks all of last season, was TERRIBLE the 1st half vs Albany.
1st half: 8 for 13, 120 yds, 1 TD, FOUR INT (he gets a pass on 1 because it bounced off the umpire), 1 fumble.
2nd half: 11 for 15, 155 yds, 3 TDs, 1 INT + the majority of his 72 rushing yards. His usual spectacular self..

JMU turns it over 6 times, goes -5 in the Turnover margin, yet still rolled up 625 yds vs Albany (JMU rushed for 350, with the top 2 RBs going for 145 & 134). Turnovers kept JMU from putting up 700-800 yds and blowing Albany off the field. Now I'm sure its not the 1st time in the history of Div I football a team has gone -5 in the turnovers yet still rolled up over 600 yds offense, but it can't have happened too many times.

JMU turns it over like that @ SMU and JMU will get blown off the field...

Why does he get a pass? Maybe don't throw the ball at an umpire so the chance of an errant deflection doesn't occur?
