There's at least one team in this proposed bracket that I'm surprised AZ hasn't raised the BS flag on yet.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

IF you are speaking of Libertard, know this: I do not trouble myself with the minions of the college football world. WHOEVER is the representative from the Big South, they will lose early and be gone, so why bother discussing whether it's Liberty, SB, or some other poor schill?

Isn't Liberty from NY?

Question for you guys on how this works.

If SHSU is the #2 seed and plays the Grizz in the 2nd round where will the game be if Montana has bid more for the game?

I would think if SHSU decided NOT to bid it could be played in Wa-Griz, but I don't think that would happen.

WRONG. The higher seed always hosts, regardless of bids.

AZ - if Liberty (or SBU) wins this Saturday and then wins let's say one game in the playoffs any chance you ease up a little? I mean I know you are a fan of the ALL POWERFUL BIG TIME TEAM AND CONFERENCE, but give the little guys a chance. I'm surprised you aren't posting on an "I love the BCS" message board. We have a ton to prove and it will take time, but I assure there is some great football happening in Lynchburg, VA. No not NY grizzaholic.

That kinda the way I thought it would work. We for sure have bid. Thanks.

I'm with AZ on this one....Winning an opening round game (while now technically is playoffs) for me isn't enough. Most of those are teams that weren't good enough to get into the field of 16, but the NCAA wanted to try to make more money so allowed them in as well.

Yeah, it's exactly like the extra play-in games they added to March Madness. Just another chance for TV and ticket revenue.

WRONG. The higher seed always hosts, regardless of bids.
no, even seeded teams have to have bid the minimum amount ($30K for first and second rounds although seeded teams don't play in the first round, $40K for quarterfinals, $50K for semifinals). If the higher seeded team declined to bid that amount, and the lower/un-seeded time did bid that amount, then the lower/un-seeded team may get to host. However, if the higher seeded team did bid the minimum, then the lower/un-seeded team's bid amount matters not.
(if a team merited a seed, and hadn't bid to host, I don't know if perhaps the NCAA would contact that school and ask if they wanted to bid the minimum (even though the "bidding deadline" had passed) or not)
If the minimum financial guarantees are met, the committee will award the playoff
sites to the top five seeded teams.

Clear. As long as we have bid the min and are the higher seed we will play at home.
So ready for this, 2004 seems like it was another lifetime ago. Hopefully with Coach Fritz and a team full of Soph and Juniors, I can stay out from under my rock for a few years.

Well, to be technical, it would be half of those are teams that weren't good enough to get into the field of 16....

If the playoffs were cut back to 16, half of the 8 in the opening round would be in, half would be out....
