I think they was referring to EWU, not UM. At any rate, they do say the dumbest ****.
How is that dumb when all of our wins vs. EWU come in Cheney, which is where the game is being played this year?
My statement that you say the dumbest "isht" wasn't specifically aimed at your comment about a guaranteed Sac win, but rather the stuff you say in general. However, guaranteeing a Sac win this weekend is dumb, considering that Sac won by a combined 3 points in the two prior games in Cheney; 1 point in 2006 when we we're rebuilding and had almost all freshmen and sophmores playing, and 2 points in 2008 in Baldwin's first year as HC at EWU.

You could be right. They didn't look too great at Roos Field. Then again, will Montana be able to pressure Herrick and force him to make mistakes like EWU did? I feel like our defensive line is better than Montana's at this point in the season. If Montana gives him time, it's going to be a long day for the Griz.

Anyway - it's mostly a homer/wishful thinking pick to be honest. :thumb:

I did subtract one for the last fumble after time had expired. It didn't decide the game. 3-point EWU win committing 4 turnovers, over Montana committing 5 turnovers. Hence -1 for UM, or +1 for EWU. That blocked punt for a TD was just an excellent special teams play by RB Darriell Beaumonte. Kid is a beast on ST.

I don't think NAU will be committing that many turnovers, and the Griz continue to turn it over, hence why I think the Jacks will in an close one. It's not absurd to think they can get a win in WGS this weekend, especially when Sac came so close. :twocents:
I don't think it's absurd to think any BSC team could beat any other BSC team this year

I like these picks, but I think NAU will win by 7.

We've been able to put pressure on the QB all year. Montana leads the Big Sky in sacks, so i think Herrick is gonna be in for a long day with all the pressure and noise he's gonna have to deal with. The only downside to our D line is that one of our top pass rushers intentionally got chopped blocked last week @ P State and shattered his knee cap but we have pretty good depth at the D line. It should be a great game. I cant wait til tomorrow. Go Griz!!

Intentionally is a big word, newbie. I suggest in the future, before you throw around ridiculous accusations, you back it up with some sort of support. This ain't egriz, cowboy!

Not saying it was intentional - but I watched it a couple of times and it didn't look good. :coffee:

It didn't, I'll say that. Neither did the block on our linebacker later on that caused him to be removed on a stretcher. The officials did not throw a flag on either play and neither offensive player was suspended. I don't know if Pflugrad or Burton submitted the video showing these two or if Fullerton decided not to suspend. "Intentional" is the word that showed up many times on egriz. I've been waiting for it to show up here. Neither team has suspended their player involved either, and from what I know about both Pflugrad and Burton, dirty football and "intent to injure an opponent" is something both of them would never stand for. No one wants to get a rap like that, especially in your first year coaching in the conference.

Submit the video or suspend the player? I checked again Fritz's writeup on this week's Griz game and there was no mention of a Griz player being suspended, but he did have a bit more on this hit. Griz fans may say the hit was intentional, I could say the hit on the PSU player was intentional (and what seems to be a reaction to the hit on Campbell). But intention is a strong word and something that is extremely difficult to prove, especially when it goes against what both coaches involved seem to stand for. The officials did not flag either play, the conference has not suspended anyone and, from what I've been able to find out, neither coach has suspended anyone. Therefore I am willing to say that there was no intent on either play, just a couple unfortunate injuries as a result of tough football, something I for one have come to expect from both teams. Very unfortunate as both Campbell and Shoemaker were having great seasons for their respective teams.

First of all, NAU's Michael Herrick is the best QB that the Griz will face this year. He is as good as any QB in the FCS and if given the opportunity, he will purge the Griz defense (like he did last year in Flagstaff). But unlike last year when the Jacks had the worst defense in the country, they now have the best defense in the country. This is a very good and dangerous NAU team and they are starting to play well on both sides of the ball. With that said, the Jacks will be confronted with the best home field advantage in the FCS and the loudest stadium in the Big Sky Conference. This will have an effect on them and, if the Griz do not turn the ball over like they have done recently, the Griz fans will carry Montana to a very slim victory in a very exciting game. Finally, is it necessary that we have to hear so much about the Inferno in Cheney, WA? Cheyney is not the end of the world but you can see it from there. Why they just don't "blow the place up" and start over, I'll never know

Barely, and you're barely eeking out wins against lesser teams. NAU isn't a lesser team, Copernicus. :coffee: :coffee:
