I can assure you, if there was ever a game where this was the case, this game was not as close as the score. UNI had superior athletes and controlled the game. It is a minor miracle that it was a 30 point game. And all of this happened with an entirely new D line, and entirely new o line, and a QB playing his first DI game.
The teams were not equally matched. It was clear to anyone that actually saw the game, that UNI was the superior team by any measure, JBB. I also find it funny that now, after the game, you are saying that UNI overall is the more experienced team when before the game, you said the exact opposite?
If I were an NDSU fan, I would be worried about some of that coaching. Check out this quote from one of our starting LBs:
"It was amazing," said Fort, who also had a first-half interception and notched a team-high 12 tackles. "We actually ran that (defensive) play three or four times in a row and I was like, 'Are they going to block it, pick it up, adjust to it?' They didn't."
