ala Obama, you mean. The beginning of the end for Obama came with the first debate.

BTW, Today's Gallup poll of likely voters shows Romney 52% Obama 45%.

Obama has started running ads in Minnesota and Wisconsin. If he's defending those bastions of progressive politics this late in the game, his internal polling numbers must look like shit. Obama is toast.

I do believe that RMoney has at the least pulled even and might indeed be ahead

And on that note:
I don't really think it'll make much difference if he wins
Other than he'll have 4 years to blame Obama for all the same sh!t Obama blamed on Bush

Same / Same  I anticipate zero difference / other than the looming Healthcare repeal

The numbers are nothing less than shocking with less than three weeks to go. I was mailing it in for Obama, but a majority of the polls now have Romney ahead and for the first time I've seen so far, RealClearPolitics has Romney ahead on electoral votes. They still have Obama up 294-244 when they give the toss-ups to who is leading, but this is by FAR the tightest that number has been.

I encourage everyone to vote, but as a disappointed Independent, I can tell you that regardless of who wins on Election Day, I feel we'll all be losers for the next 4 years. Our debt/budget crisis is much bigger than either of these two ass-clowns will admit. I can guarantee you this...90% of what you heard this election season or in the debates won't play out when we're all paying more taxes. (well unless Romney wins & you make some serious 1% cash).

If I felt like staying the course would result in something good I'd be inclined to vote Obama again. However, my general rule of thumb is to vote against incumbents or the same party when things aren't going well. I'm leaning towards another change this time, just like in '08, even though I'm far from the 1%.

My liberal cousin unfriended me last night on Facebook.

He shared a moveon.org debate photo with retarded comments about job creation and I commented and asked "***, you aren't REALLY that stupid, are you?"

For some reason he took offense to that question and unfriended me.

So I asked him what the problem was via messaging and he said he was done with the "name calling". I informed him I hadn't called him a name, merely asked him a question...and that the STUPID moniker only applied if he indeed WAS that stupid to believe that shit. I then let him know that a lot of liberals were getting pretty thin-skinned, and I can only assume it's because their savior's performance over the past 4 weeks and the closing/disappearing gap in the polls has them shaken...he didn't respond.

I'm not sure how I'm going to get through my day today... :( :( :(

So many here, and where we all live are so consumed by tailor made 24 hour news and caught up in all the partisan bullshit that goes on that some of us let it seep into our real lives, and cause stress among not only our friends but our families as well.

I see angry posts here about Obama this, Bush that, Romney something else I wonder if we afflicted are truly seeing negative impacts on our wallets, families, careers, etc that are actually real, and not just imagined or manufactured by us for whatever reason. For me, stats on unemployed, jobs created, underemployed, yada, yada, yada, really has no effect on me or my family whatsoever, never has never will. Our own situation and family economy has nothing to do with the crap on TV, the blogs, the football message boards, etc

It seems to me for some reason, when the country is howling the most about hard times, tight money, no jobs that I have more going on and more opportunity than I even want, conversely I have struggled when our so called "economy" is booming.

I like to banter here as much as anyone, and regardless what poster thinks they know more than anybody else in the world and just has to shove it up everybody's noses on message boards, it really does not impress me, nor does any of it make any difference in what is going on.

When I was a part of a 30 man volunteer fire department, one of the most annoying things that happened is that a couple of know it all fuck sticks just had to bring his ass hole politics down to the station and start preaching to everybody unfortunate enough to stop by for coffee about how he and Sean Hannity had all things in this world figured out, and those that disagree were somehow unamerican. :ohno: :ohno:

This is the kind of shit that is killing our country folks, carry on with the political hate, the extremism, and the one sided arguments, and see how many friends still like to hang with you down the road.

Totally agree Wedgie. People need to calm the fuck down and quit taking politics so seriously. I've have made a concerted effort to do just that over the past several years and I now find it all quite enjoyable. It's really been reduced to entertainment/sport and nothing worth losing friends and relatives over.

So you think it was the Bain and 1% attacks that were dragging him down? It's not as if he hasn't been in the spotlight for 8 years now.

I think the fact that he's softened his message and rhetorically moved to the middle that is helping. After all, the country is far more progressive on the big issues than either of these two candidates.

He's doing exactly what he said he would do during the primary. Campaign hard to the right during the primary, campaign towards the center during the Presidential election. If he wins he will find out that being President isn't that easy and do many of the things Obama is doing, just like Obama did with Bush.

Sorry guys, I take this shit real seriously as my industry and my niche in my industry has been demonized, blamed, and under attack from this administration and the federal reserve over the past four years. I'll be damned if I'm going to sit idly and let that fucker put me out of business and flush a 28 year career down the toilet. It ain't sport to me, it is my business and my life.

It's required. More so for the GOP (at least right now), but winning a primary requires a different strategy than winning a general election.

I think those that follow politics with any sort of effort, know Romney. I think the majority of undecideds are idiots, because at this point they don't know who to vote for - that means they don't follow politics.
