You're so naive, it's cute.

I mentioned this yesterday, but you refused to answer, so I'll try it again.

Are so hopeless to actually believe that your health won't take a back seat to a government mandated cost/benefit analysis?
:ohno: Baldy, Baldy, Baldy..........there is none so blind as he who will not see. Don't you get how foolish your question is?

You see, it doesn't make a whole lot of difference, it (my health) already sits squarely behind the quarterly P&L statement of my insurance company. By changing to single-payer I might be better off and I surely won't be worse off. Why should I care if insurance execs won't get eight-figure bonuses any more for denying service after accepting premiums?

The only way you should be allowed to have health care is if you pay for it yourself. This entitlement mentality all you fu*kheads have, needs to be dealt with severely.

You guys once again get duped this wasnt about covering everyone there are still 25-30 million without healthcare. Its about now having a tool to legislate peoples behavior.

Our health ALREADY takes a backseat to slimy insurance company profit loss analysis.
Compared to the current government fun systems we have now? No it doesn't, not even close.

I gave jellybelly an assignment, here is one for you.

Do a little research and find out who denies more claims (by a factor of 2) private insurance or your beloved Medicare/Medicaid.

Unfortunately for you guys, arguing on a sports message board is going to accomplish absolutely nothing. President Obama and company have passed the healthcare bill. For those opposed to it...it's your move...gonna bitch about it here all day, or are you going to do something about it?

Well, I'd like to see some sources, first of all. Since you're requesting me to do homework, .

I'm talking about non-partisan CBO estimates.

House Ways and Means Committee is partisan and of course you shouldn't take their estimates at face value.

And you have to adjust for inflation... That obviously wouldn't make up the large gap... but, it would make it look much less ridiculous.

No, Baldy, I'm not aware of that. What I am aware of is that if it hadn't been for Medicaid/Medicare when my Mom was dying of breast cancer, I'd be living in a refrigerator box under a freeway somewhere. :coffee:

Because they haven't positioned themselves as defenders of the free world.

ON Thursday, the Congressional Budget Office reported that, if enacted, the latest health care reform legislation would, over the next 10 years, cost about $950 billion, but because it would raise some revenues and lower some costs, it would also lower federal deficits by $138 billion. In other words, a bill that would set up two new entitlement spending programs — health insurance subsidies and long-term health care benefits — would actually improve the nation’s bottom line.

Could this really be true? How can the budget office give a green light to a bill that commits the federal government to spending nearly $1 trillion more over the next 10 years?

The answer, unfortunately, is that the budget office is required to take written legislation at face value and not second-guess the plausibility of what it is handed. So fantasy in, fantasy out.

In reality, if you strip out all the gimmicks and budgetary games and rework the calculus, a wholly different picture emerges: The health care reform legislation would raise, not lower, federal deficits, by $562 billion.

Yep. I'm going to actively campaign, door-to-door, against EVERY Arizona member of congress that voted for this POS bill. I will be handing out leaflets, making phone calls, raising funds, donating the max and doing everything in my POWER to ensure these fat fucks get their slimy noses out of MY wallet.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Congressional budget scorekeepers say a Medicare fix that Democrats included in earlier versions of their health care bill would push it into the red.

The Congressional Budget Office said Friday that rolling back a programmed cut in Medicare fees to doctors would cost $208 billion over 10 years. If added back to the health care overhaul bill, it would wipe out all the deficit reduction, leaving the legislation $59 billion in the red.

The so-called doc fix was part of the original House bill. Because of its high cost, Democrats decided to pursue it separately. Republicans say the cost should not be ignored. Congress has usually waived the cuts to doctors year by year.

An opinion piece is a few paragraphs in the back of a newspaper.

The CBO estimate is a thick booklet with hundreds of man hours of research put out by a nonpartisan organization.

See the difference, dumbass............?

Oh, wait. You're the guy that posts chain emails as substance.
