Big question here, at least big for me.
Everyone loves the hoops upsets like we just had today with High Point's 3-point specialist nailing a lay-up with 11 sec left to beat Wisconsin; it was WAY unexpected because he was 0-4 on 2pt shots for the entire season.
But if that's the case, why is there this huge aversion to even the possibility of an upset in football? Are the powers-that-be so scared of the upset that they'll use the potential for a blowout as the sole excuse for avoiding it by defining the upset out? This just doesn't make any sense to me. App over Michigan in the playoffs would be a-freaking-mazing, but they won't even allow that to be scheduled....

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.
