New STATS Poll

Post by SuperHornet »

Montana jumps to #4. Three scalps in one week for the Big Sky is the first time that's happened since the CAA pulled it off in 2009. The Griz's ranked scalp is the 6th in FCS history and second in Big Sky history (EWU over #25 Oregon State in 2013). Dropped out: TN-Chattanooga (prev. #18, lost to prev. #20 Austin Peay), Nicholls State (prev. #22, lost big to FBS Memphis State), NC A&T (prev. #25, lost to Furman).

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Nice "fuck you" to the CAA. Top two teams win by double digits and drop in the polls.

My top 5 would be:
1. SHSU (W @ NAU 42-16)
2. SDSU (W @ Col St 42-23)
3. Montana (W @ #20 Washington 13-7)
4. JMU (W Morehead St 68–10)
5. NDSU (W Albany 28-6)

So despite beating a patsy by 58, I would have dropped JMU:
1 spot due to how impressive SDSU looked vs Colorado St (I watched the game on FS1)
1 spot behind Montana since:
-that was only the 5th time a I-AA has ever beaten a ranked I-A.
-JMU lost for the season their AA OT/best or 2nd best NFL prospect for the season (course something that most vosters weren’t aware of).
-And because I’m not a homer.
JMU Football:
4 Years FBS: 40-11 (.784). Highest winning percentage & least losses of all of G5 2022-2025.
Sun Belt East Champions: 2022, 2023, 2025
Sun Belt Champions: 2025
Top 25 ranked: 2022, 2023, 2025
CFP: 2025
