This should be a mismatch. New Hampshire is capable, but their terrible O-Line is bound to get wrecked by Central Arkansas's fearsome front—I'm not sure UCA will need to blitz once the entire game. It looks like we'll be seeing 2 games on the purple-and-gray eyesore in Conway.
Here's my assessment of the matchups & my pick for the game:
JMU Football:
4 Years FBS: 40-11 (.784). Highest winning percentage & least losses of all of G5 2022-2025.
Sun Belt East Champions: 2022, 2023, 2025
Sun Belt Champions: 2025
Top 25 ranked: 2022, 2023, 2025
CFP: 2025
I can't help but shake my head as a McNeese fan again. McNeese was totally superior to Central Arkansas physically. Central Arkansas got 11 first downs. McNeese got 20 first downs and 417 yards. They rushed for 206 yards at 5.2 yards per carry. And in spite of that they managed to find a way to lose a must win game by 30 points to a team they pushed around on the line of scrimmage.
New Hampshire does NOTHING on offense. They get 216 total yards. 106 yards rushing at 2.3 yards per carry. And they win the game.
Very frustrating.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
