Marcus Marshall transfer: Georgia Tech’s leading rusher picks JMU
Marcus Marshall has picked his new home.
Georgia Tech’s leading rusher from the past two seasons — 654 yards and 624 yards, respectively — took to social media on Thursday night to announce his transfer to James Madison, one of the top programs at the FCS level.
Because JMU is an FCS school, Marshall will be eligible to play immediately in 2017.
Marshall, who is the brother of Washington Redskins running back Keith Marshall, has plenty of links to the Dukes program.
The father of Marshall, Warren Marshall, was a star running back at JMU during his collegiate career. Warren Marshall finished his time with the Dukes as the school’s all-time leading rusher and was inducted into the JMU Hall of Fame in 2013.
Along with the direct ties to Marshall’s father, former Georgia Tech quarterback Vad Lee, had also made the move from the Yellow Jackets to JMU.

... and the rich, get richer.
However, congrats to JMU on their victory last night. It needed to be done, nothing against NDSU, but it was time for a change.
