Oh look... Islamic faith as Politics

Post by Chizzang »

Islam = The Mother Load of Bad Ideas
Islam is such a peaceful faith and it creates such wonderful countries to live in
You know how when you combine "Religion as your Political Structure" it always works great

350,000 refugees have crossed into Europe
I can't understand why all these happy people are leaving ???
Any takers on how fast Islam can over-run and ruin Europe with all their great Islamic Ideas..?

Before I went to Iraq in 2004 I had a three day briefing with a professor of middle eastern studies from one of the Ivies (cant remember who or which one now)

He explained that Islam was literally founded as a religion, a form of government, and a political structure all in one. Interesting stuff.

Is this Bush's fault? I can't tell, its been almost 7 years now. It seems this may have arisen post Bush. But I think he may be lurking behind the scenes, somewhat.

The shocking part of that video is that is was CNN...and the interviewer included a blurb at the end that a friend of his was trying to bring to light the same issues as Harris.

Is that interviewer still employed by CNN? Oh wait...never mind. 8-)

No it shouldn't, Chlitz

They already KNOW the truth in what he is saying - but a large swath of people who say the same things he does (albeit less eloquently) are on the opposite side of the ideological divide from American liberals and therefore they must be opposed as racists and bigots

it is almost a Pavlovian response for them, and it has nothing to do with the barbarity (or peace) of Islam - but rather with the sources of the criticism

it is the same reason that conservatives, libertarians and even free thinkers like yourself cannot have an honest discussion about race in this country

It has more do with the opposite side of the ideological divide providing very few solutions other than bomb, bomb, bomb, kill them all...etc. I get it, muslims are dangerous and bad, but neither side's track record in dealing with it is exactly stellar.

Why do I feel like I'm getting tag-team trolled here? :suspicious:

This ^ reminds me once (probably years ago now) I said something like
Black America takes enthusiastic pride in willfully dismissing itself from the American Dream

It was more cleverly worded than that
but I remember that as being just about the first time we agreed on something

we agreed on something... I have to say that to myself slowly

you can say it every minute fir a week klam and it doesnt make it true

in fact you are just using the other tactic in the playbook (the first being to call someone a bigot) which is to equate criticism of islam to wanting to bomb bomb bomb

Id just be content with saying no no no on their immigration papers
