The Interview

Post by JoltinJoe »

I'm watching this right now and about halfway through. I can't believe how funny this thing is. I was prepared to be disappointed, but this is much better than its mainstream reviews.

It's vulgar; it's tasteless; and it's great satire.

The Eminem interview scene at the beginning of the film is classic.

Who has seen it?

It's a Seth Rogan-James Franco movie.

It was exactly what I expected it to be

An now the pinnacle of freedom of expression and the rallying point of American existentialism in the 21st century....is a Seth Rogan-James Franco movie
MEAC, last one out turn off the lights.

After a solid/funny opening, the film doesn't seem to know where to take its premise. The second half of the film is a bit tedious, but still overall worth a viewing. This isn't high art; in fact, it is pretty juvenile most of the time, but there is a certain raunchy charm to it.

Almost the whole movie was one big Anus joke.. whether they're shooting a guy in the anus, or he's sticking the thing up his butt, or the leader not having an anus.. I guess this is what Hollywood is now..

That said, there were a few funny parts- When Franco said something like: "I'm going to give him something with my hand." and the reporter says: "What? You're going to jerk him off?".. that was pretty good.
