Montana follows the Penn State model

The company hired by the University of Montana to help enhance UM's marketing and communication efforts had longstanding ties to the embattled football program at Penn State University until recently.

In December, UM officials hired Pittsburgh-based consulting firm Mind Over Media to help the university develop a brand strategy aimed at enhancing faculty, staff and student recruitment and retention, increasing alumni engagement, and improving philanthropic and legislative support.
