I just saw a note that the Eags were placed on probation a week and a half ago. Unfortunately, the source didn't say why.
What's going on? Is this another sport? Is the report wrong? I hope this is wrong. I'd hate to see them win the Sky but have to sit home anyway.
EWU on probation?!?

EWU on probation?!?

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.
EWU on probation?!?
Huh? Would have thought we'd have heard something about that. Gotta link?

Re: EWU on probation?!?
Finally found it again. I read it wrong. It seems that EWU WAS on probation, and it expired 10 FEB 2012. No word on what it was for, just that it applied to EWU football.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_C ... ssociation (Scroll about 2/3 of the way down to get to the Division I-FCS Institutions on Probation chart.)
EDIT: This is just the formal end of the Wulff-era stuff. Nothing at the NCAA site about it, but I found a 2009 Spokesman-Review article about it. Nothing going on.
SH is a dummy again.
