It's week #6 of football in the SoCon. The headliner game this week was to have been Chatty at GSU, but most of the luster is now off that match-up due to the Mocs total collapse last week against the Citadel. It now looks like the Wofford/the Citadel game and Samford/Furman will vie this week for top billing in the SoCon. Now's your chance, pick the winners.

Furman beats Samford, shouldn't be a blowout, I honestly couldn't tell you anything about Samford's defense as they've only played option teams, and their offense can score points if given the opportunity. I'll Furman 24 Samford 13
Chattanooga can't establish the run, can't protect the quarterback, and played poorly the last 20 minutes against the third best option team in the conference. Meet Brent Russell, Jaybo Shaw, and Robert Brown. GSU 35 Chatty 16
Wofford and the Citadel should be a good one. Even though Wofford has won 12 straight against the bellhops, they have our respect. They're a good team that plays great defense especially on the defensive line and great fundamentals across the board. Still, their offense is prone to turn the ball over, and doesn't run the option as efficiently as GSU or Wofford as it's only the second year back in the system for El Cid. GSU's ability to play great defense keeps them in this game, but Wofford's defense will have an easier time stopping the Citadel option than vice versa. This is a great Wofford team. Could be very special. Wofford 20 Citadel 6. Wofford could very well score more but I respect the Bulldog D too much to pick a bigger margin. Sadly, I don't respect the Citadel offense

Elon could beat Western by 30 if they played their best ball, but as much as they rack up the yards they don't turn those yards into points. They play decent defense though. Elon 31 Western 17

Samford at Furman-Expect this to be a close one. I expect at least one upset by Sammy this year so I'm picking this one; Sammy by 3.

UTC can't run the ball at all so Coleman better be ready to chuck it. UTC has an extra point blocked and run back for 2 to keep their string of special ed teams excellence intact. GaSo by 17.
