Semis at Delaware
I know there has been speculation that if ASU wins today that they would host a semi final game next Friday night and UD would play Saturday afternoon. However there is a potential conflicting factor that has to be considered.. the 'Beast of East' high school wrestling tournament is being held next week.. both Sat/Sun at UD's Bob Carpenter Center which is located right next to Delaware Stadium. The 'Beast' is very large (over 100 teams) and is one of the nations top HS wrestling tournaments. The tournament draws large crowds and normally sells out the Carpenter Center and as a result uses a large amount of UD's available parking in th e Delaware Stadium area. If UD has to play at noon next week.. that would be right in the middle of the 'Beast' which starts at 8;30 Saturday morning. I'm sure UD will request another Friday night game due to this potential conflict.. so we will see.

I think we could request until the cows come home and ESPN wouldn't give a fark. When Nova wins today, it becomes a moot point though. They'd never put a 3K Villanova crowd on a Friday night. Granted, our attendance sucked last night, but I expect well over 15K next week.

Its not like Nova is going to host even if they win, EWU is a seed and NDSU's bid would destroy them unless Nova is interested in taking a huge loss on the game.93henfan wrote:I think we could request until the cows come home and ESPN wouldn't give a fark. You're right. I didn't even think about Nova being unseeded. My bad. At any rate, if Nova wins, the game will still likely be at UD again next Friday, per the Delaware post-game show. Our play by play dude talked to the ESPN production folks who said as much.FargoBison wrote:Its not like Nova is going to host even if they win, EWU is a seed and NDSU's bid would destroy them unless Nova is interested in taking a huge loss on the game.93henfan wrote:I think we could request until the cows come home and ESPN wouldn't give a fark.
