UMASS player not impressed with The Big House

Post by clenz »

Will another Football Championship Subdivision team upset Michigan at The Big House?

UMass defensive back Ke'Mon Bailey thinks so.

"We're about to shock the world," said Bailey.

The Minutemen arrived at Michigan Stadium Friday to take a look at where they would be playing the Wolverines on Saturday afternoon. Bailey wasn't impressed from the outset.

"It's actually not that big either. This should not be The Big House, this should be the Little House on the Prairie."

UMass is 2-0 on the season but Michigan is its lone Football Bowl Subdivision team on the schedule. That didn't detract from a confident Bailey.

"We talk junk, we look pretty and we hit hard," said Bailey. "That's the motive for today and tomorrow. Get this victory."

If the Minutemen should pull the stunner, they'd be the third FCS team to defeat a ranked FBS team. But first UMass may want to figure a way to stop Denard Robinson from running wild.

With all due respect to Bailey, I would just like to see UMass keep it within 30. As far as people referring to the stadium from now on, I think they may be saying the Big House in Mr. Robinson's neighborhood. ;)

The video has a significantly different tone than the article.

UMass just scored to go up 10-7 over the Wolverines 30 seconds into the 2nd.

Kickoff goes out of bounds. Denard Robinson dropped for a loss of 7 on 1st down. Rushes for 7 on 2nd. Sacked on 3rd. Michigan punt. Fair caught on their own 13. UMass with the ball and the lead.

6 minutes into the Michigan Bowling Green game, Robinson already is 4-4 60 yds and 4 rushes for 82 yards and 2 TDs. UMass did an awesome job stopping him. That guy can make cuts nobody else can.

He played less than a quarter but still put up something liek 189 yard of offense.
