Agreed on all counts with the stipulation that the JSU/UTC game will likely be the best game on this list.

Wofford, Western, Furman, Elon, and Appie win easy.

GSU-Navy will be closer than some folks think but Navy is one of the best non-BCS teams out there Dobbs will overwhelm GSU and we'll lose by 17

I think folks are being too hard on Samford. FSU was a team that was much better than their record showed last year and they were quite hungry to start out very strong. I think Samford beats NSU.

Chatty gets beat by Jax State, but not by much.

Chatty/JSU should be a heck of a game. I am interested to see how UTC plays after their meltdown against ASU, I expect it to be a very close game if Coleman plays like he did saturday. I also think Samford will get on track this week and get a W. I thought they were going to have a better showing against the Noles but it's hard to fault them, there's a lot of talent on that FSU team and Jimbo had them clicking from the get go. This is a must win for Samford.

Tusculum at Western Carolina - Western beats DeBusk (may be the only time. I will wait for Cat man to correct me)

Wofford at Charleston Southern - Not sure about anything but the score against N. Greenville, but it didn't sound impressive for Chuck South. Wofford by 14 or more.

Colgate at Furman - Good match up. Colgate has one under its belt. Furman seems excited about the season with more possibilities for wins than in the past few seasons. Game is close but Furman pulls it out by two touchdowns.

Shaw at Elon - Elon by a lot

UTC at JSU - Jacksonville State is dedicating their new stadium. UTC still has trouble figuring out how to win. JSU has no let down between the new stadium and Chatt playing ASU close. Gamecocks win. PS, Gold and Blacks nephew is playing for JSU and he is attending therefore rooting against the Mocs twice in one year.

The Citadel at Arizona - Bellhops don't even get a tip

Samford at Northwestern State - Is this the Southland's Northwestern ST? If so, Samford makes the Socon proud

Jacksonville at ASU - ASU and it isn't even close

GSU at Navy - I would like to see GSU keep this one close, but have a feeling it won't be.

The Nooga vs. Cocks game should be a good one. Gotta wonder how the Mocs will respond after basically psyching themselves up all summer for a chance at beating App only to come up short. Will there be anything left in the tank?

I know quite a few are thinking ASU is viewing the Dolphins as a tune-up. A game to implement some fixes on both sides of the ball. Jacksonville had a strong showing against ODU, throwing for 311 and rushing for nearly 200. I believe the Apps will win but I think the game could be closer, at least in the first half.

I think Chattanooga will come out mad and J-State maybe a little flat.

Can't really judge anything after the first week. J-State will see 2x the passing from Chattanooga than they saw from Ole Miss. And the Mocs really spread it around, too.

Hard to judge their defense. It's not like Appalachian hasn't made a habit of putting 40 points per game on yah over the last six years.

And if you flip the two-point conversions around how much difference would it make?
