Big South DL

Post by bjtheflamesfan »

Unfortunately my detailed post on the defensive lines in the Big South was lost because so instead of going back and taking 4 hours to retype it I'll give my team rankings and let you guys discuss:

1. Liberty
2. Stony Brook
3. Gardner-Webb
4. VMI
5. Presbyterian
6. Coastal Carolina
7. Charleston Southern

This area is VMI's strongest for 2010:

DE) Ben Brandt; 6'2, 260, R-Sr.
NT) Josh Wine; 6'0, 270, Sr.
DE) Damiso Alexander; 6'3, 255, R-Sr.

As back-ups VMI has;
Charles Jones at NT; 6'1, 255, Soph.
Shawn Chapman, DE; 6'1, 240 Soph.
Patrick Goulden, DE; 6'3, 255, R-Fr.
John Washington, DE, 6'2, 245, Fr.
1-AA is tops!!

LU is loaded on the DL.

Asa Chapman at NG.
Daryl Robertson, Terry Adams, Patrick Bannon as the top 3 on the ends.

Great depth with Paco Varol and Greg Schuster.

I'll say this kd...when I was looking at the stats, the d-line was probably the best part of your team last year. when I wrote my original post I noted that except for the Liberty and JMU games, the margin was no more than 14 points (including that close loss to Army). If the offense can work on that whole fumbling thing, I wouldnt be surprised if you guys stole a couple games this year (except against LU of course ;) )
