Lindy's 2010 College Football Preview-FCS

Post by BigSkyFootball »

Some Observations:
1) New Hampshire, Delaware & Harvard will not be factors this year and will finish out of the Top 25
2) Villanova will not repeat as FCS Champion; Montana will win the title . . .finally
3) Jeremy Moses as All-FCS QB, maybe, but Elon's Scott Riddle ahead of Northern Arizona's Michael Herrick on Second Team? That makes no sense.
4) Newcomer of the Year: Aaron Corp of Richmond? He barely completed 50 % of his passes in the Richmond Spring Game. Are they sure he's going to start?
5) If it wasn't for Montana receiving a little love, I would say there's a little "East Coast Bias"

Why? They had almost identical stats last year. Seems like it's a coin toss as to who is better. Sounds like West Coast bias on your part. :coffee:

Herrick vs Riddle Comparison
(Based on last year's national stats)
TOTAL OFFENSE: Herrick (6th) Riddle (13th)
PASSING EFFICIENCY: Herrick (11th) Riddle (18th)
(Note: Herrick finished his 2009 season with 574 yards against playoff-bound Eastern Washington; Top 10 All-Time in FCS history. If it hadn't been for a blizzard snow storm in Utah the week before, he would probably have led the nation in passing)
The Griz DO NOT suck again!!!!!!
2010 BIG SKY CONFERENCE FINISH
1. Montana (8-0)
2. Eastern Washington (6-2)
3. Northern Arizona (6-2)
4. Montana State (5-3)
5. Weber State (4-4)
6. Northern Colorado (3-5)
7. Sacramento State (2-6)
8. Portland State (2-6)
9. Idaho State (0-8)

A little note about the Lindy's Preview...

No. 9 was supposed to be Colgate, and the one-liner about them was: "Patriot League’s most consistent team led by RB Nate Eachus and strong defense."

It was some sort of snafu in editing, which happens when you put out a 240-page book.

Thanks, Chris

It ain't a bias if the East keeps back'n it up. Must be the thin air in Bozeman.

Lindy's would have more credibility in my book if they never divulged that info. No #9 is better than having Colgate at #9.
