I realize that Davis was an innovator of the run and shoot and that he led Portland State to a couple football championships. But I was not a follower of PSU football back in the 70's. What I saw was a coach who bailed on his football team after spring ball, leaving the regime to take the fall while he came out of the situation smelling like a rose. I am not happy.
