Christmas is a secular holiday, stolen from the pagans and allowed to wallow in commercialism by the christians.

And I agree this is totally silly, but schools are afraid of litigation and it's an easier path to take rather than having to acknowledge all religions.

If people like you went to Iraq to save innocent people from bad guys, then people like you should continue to do that same job today wherever you are. And you should do it without regard to what the government says.

Instead, you chose to save people only when ordered to save people...and would do it again only when ordered to again.

When our government is sending in our guys to support an oppressive regime such as Saudi Arabia, while eliminating a much more secular regime such as Assad's, then we are NOT protect the interests of innocent people, despite a few individual stories. I'm quite sure some soldiers in Nazi Germany did a kid, or an innocent woman a favor...that doesn't mean they should have been invading Poland or the Soviet Union to do it.

And no, I didn't compare you directly to a Nazi. The problem is that individual soldiers continue to say that they are only obeying orders, while keeping their own personal reasons for killing people separate from the government's intent.

Hogwash. As a soldier, you are simply an expendable tool used for the purpose of someone else's profit.

It is time we call our government out for what it really does. If you want to say you fight to keep the American way, then fine...but realize that the American way includes destroying the lives, and taking the lives, of large numbers of people so that we can live our lives of relative comfort.

It is comical on a global scale that most Democrats and liberals are actually supporting the annihilation of others less fortunate than themselves, while at the same time, screaming that Republicans don't care about people less fortunate than themselves.
