The breakdown will be something like this
Big Sky 4/5 2 or 3 seeds
Big South 1/2 1 seed
CAA 4/5 2 or 3 seeds
MEAC 2/3
MVFC 1/2 - 2 if we are extremely lucky...if we get 3 or more next year the Mayans were right just off by a 2/3 years
NEC 1/2
OVC 3/4 1 seed
PFL 1/2
Patriot 2/3
SoCon 2/3
Southland 3/4 at least 1 seed
The only MVFC team that has a chance at a seed next year in NDSU - only because of the three straight titles thing. UNI, SDSU, SIU, etc... all need to finish 11-1 to even have a chance at a seed/AL spot
NDSU crumbles next year.
Towson has a good chance if their QB is healthy. If not, NDSU gets their third title. But, their title run is over. The CAA is back, and the MVC will take care of NDSU so that they will need to go on the road.
Wishful thinking.
The new QB (Wentz) is very good but needs game reps. The only glaring holes to fill will be DT, where 4 seniors graduate. There are a lot of seniors that play this year but with how many guys rotate in, you cannot say the Bison will lose X amount of starters. Offense will lose 6 seniors starters and the defense 5 senior starters. But that is deceiving. Besides the QB and 2 OL, the others get rotated in. Same thing on the defensive side except all get rotated during the game...even Marcus Williams, he has had injuries the last 1/3 of the season.
There will be a drop off, there has to be but the Bison will be very good. 15-0? Probably not but they will contend for the MV title and a top 8 seed.
