I believe UNI won the conference last season running the pistol with Rennie.
Metzinger sounds EXACTLY like JBB.
I don't know if you read it or just my quoted part...BUT

He has the defending conference champs, that return 20 starters, finishing third.

Hopefully UNI will finish mid-pack so you can be happy.

How is it possible that someone not pick UNI as the #1 team. :o

Ever think that maybe he believes that NDSU and INSU may just be better? I think your early exit in the playoffs to.... Lehigh, ultimately led to his decision... Feel free to criticize him on the comment section of that article so they both can chime in.

He makes sense, comments on football and keeps his nonsensical drunken outbursts to himself. If you could sound any more ignorant it would be considered a miracle.

As the evidence mounts that NDSU is the team to beat in this conference UNI fans and their bitches get more irritated!

He made the statement that "UNI will not win the conf with Rennie in the pistol". UNI won the conference with Rennie in the pistol last season.

Its fine if people believe that Indiana St (lol) and NDSU will finish in front of UNI. But the fact that UNI beat both teams last year, had a better record than both last year, won the conference last year, and returns a lot more starters than both coming into this year, you should expect that prediction to have some people scratching their heads.

If it holds true, good for them.

Last season was not a normal one, it will be a long time before the conference as a whole is that weak again.

That's fine. Doesn't change the fact that UNI was the best team last year, and returns the most players this year.

exactly. It all just goes to show that preseason polls and predictions are really just for entertainment purposes only. Kind of like the horoscopes.

Especially the MVC. Whoever does the picking is wrong every year.

SO? What does that matter? That was ONE game against a non-conference opponent. Not to mention that Lehigh was a pretty damn good team last year.

Its funny that UNI naysayers use that Lehigh loss as the be-all end-all argument against UNI in 2011. Lehigh finished last season as a top 15 ranked team that won 10 games.

I'd take a loss to a good Lehigh team before I'd take a 3-0 loss to a terrible Missouri State team like NDSU did last year.

Its funny that you are fine with the idea of placing YSU in the top 3-4, despite the fact that they only won 3 games all of last year and lost their last SEVEN, yet you also subscribe to the idea that UNI is not that good because of that ONE loss to Lehigh.

I don't get the ISU and YSU love, they're both improving, especially ISU ( :notworthy: ),but neither is anywhere near contending yet.

I will say it once and I will say it again, Paladin on the ysu boards is hated for his blunt observations and predictions about YSU athletics. Unfortunately his doom and gloom outlook is often right.

He predicted recruits like Allen Jones, Najee Tyler, Grant Mayes, among others would not last here and they didn't. He predicted the demise of YSU football under Heacock, he was right. His predictions extend to basketball as well.

Here are his predictions:
http://letsgoguins.com/fan-blog/417-fan ... omment-197" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Remember, SIU, UNI, NDSU, and INSU all played at Stambaugh last year. I think us YSU fans know what we witnessed last year. YSU was NOT far off from the top teams in the league last year. Our record doesn't say that, but I know what I saw on the field. Our issue was depth. We fixed our depth issue. We return our starting QB, only a sophomore, and our top two backs, Cook and Bellamy. Our issue will be our WR's, but our offense should remain electric this year.

Oh, I read it alright. He speaks of their mighty "recruiting advantage", their stellar facilities, their awesome fan support, how they're THE school in the state of North Dakota, about their D-2 powerhouse days and how two playoff wins means they're suddenly building an FCS powerhouse....Christ, he's right in JBB's wheelhouse. I can just see JBB on his knees, sucking Metzinger's cock, and the muffled sounds of JBB whispering all their supposed advantages around mouthfuls of pubic hair... :coffee:

Building an FCS powerhouse is the key phrase there...he doesn't say NDSU is a powerhouse, but in the process of becoming one and by the looks of things in Fargo he is right. Granted, one slip up and those talks go away but there are really good things happening here that the fan base hasn't seen in a while.

3 years: Regular season records of 6-5, 3-8, 7-4. If that's the new definition of building a powerhouse, say hello to Sacramento State.

More telling is MVC records of 4-4, 2-6, 4-4. :ohno:

The NDSU BISON. Picked and ranked with the top 10% of the teams in the FCS division. One of the big-time elite teams and programs in the country. That's more than any SIU or UND fan can say!

UNI fans are still lucky to be mentioned! That will end after this season.

Even at #13 The BISON are in the Top 10% of FCS squads. Whats your problem? Are you in some kind of denial?
