And you are a miserable idiot if you think I celebrate deaths and violence caused by illegal immigrants, deaths in Ukraine, etc. But MAQA yahoos keep trying to push those arguments when it's convenient for them.

How's it feel to have the shoe on the other foot?

My View' host Lara Trump reacts to New York Gov. Kathy Hochul's policy reversal. Hochul, who once told wealthy New Yorkers to leave, now begs them to return amidst tax base erosion.

It will be interesting to see how New York continues to spoil and coddle as they farm pathetic losers for life

Her policies are cruel and mean and certainly nothing nice for way too many on her urban plantation

Because kalm, Houndy, Jelly, etc. can admit that Democratic politicians are flawed and make mistakes unlike you, BDK, etc. who think trump is a living (false) god who they blindly worship.

And I pointed out Obama's and biden's many mistake during their presidencies. You probably didn't notice because you were shouting tDS, but trump, etc. for biden's 4 years.

Blue Lies
Babies got Blue lies

The higher owners in Massachusetts are out of there

Early in March, the Pioneer Institute published a study showing that Massachusetts lost more than double the amount of adjusted gross income (AGI) in 2023 — the first full year after the state imposed its four percent wealth tax — than in any year prior to 2020.

“Massachusetts’ net loss of AGI to other states grew from roughly $900 million in 2012 to $4.18 billion in 2023, representing a 467 percent increase over the past decade,” the group wrote.

“Massachusetts’ losses are concerning because they are big, broad and persistent year after year,” said Pioneer Institute’s Jim Stergios. “We are losing key working-age and pre-retirement cohorts—even as federal policy changes have shut off immigrant labor. That combination poses real risks for the state’s labor force, tax base, and long-term economic vitality. The question is: Are elected officials getting the message?”

Los Angeles and San Diego shrinking as outflow continues

https://nypost.com/2026/03/27/us-news/l ... ents-flee/
Southern California is starting to feel the squeeze, and the population numbers prove it.

New federal estimates show the Los Angeles and San Diego metro areas are both shrinking, as fewer immigrants arrive and more residents head for the exits.

It’s a sharp reversal for regions that have long depended on a steady flow of newcomers to keep growth alive.

The problem? That pipeline is drying up fast.

A steep drop in immigration, driven by tighter enforcement and fewer legal entry options, is leaving a noticeable dent. At the same time, high costs of living are pushing locals to relocate to cheaper parts of the country, creating a double hit that’s dragging population numbers down.

it’s still good to know that you can always leave an idiot state like New York for beautiful Florida

“Kathy Hochul finally discovered what New Yorkers already know. When you raise taxes, drive up the cost of living, make it harder to do business, and try to destroy families’ savings, people leave.” Blakeman said in a statement.

“Palm Beach is lovely this time of year, but I’m not sure former New Yorkers will be eager to trade sunshine, no state income tax, and sanity for the highest taxes in the nation under Kathy Hochul,” Blakeman continued.

But one of the bad things is there’s so many New Yorkers driving around Miami now they’re starting to blow the horn and flash their lights behind you when you’re driving the speed limit and that wasn’t happening in Florida before

The mayor of Seattle could use a walk and chat with C H

"Speaking at a community forum Friday night, Wilson said her administration is exploring new ‘progressive revenue options’ to help close a projected $140 million city budget gap in 2027," the outlet reported, quoting Wilson who said, "My team is very hard at work looking for progressive revenue options, taxing the rich, taxing big business in a way that we think will be politically viable and practical."

I don't know about Seattle specifically but I suspect that the workforce of most urban governments has grown as fast or faster than the population.

The economist in me also thinks that there should be some economies of scale for larger government administrations - if the population of the city grows 100% the number of employees can grow less than that (say 33-67%) without impacting depth or qualify of services.

Truth.

I was thinking about voter expectations. Safer streets, repairing potholes, mass transit improvements, parks…

Everybody wants improved services. No one wants to play more taxes.

A new economic iron curtain is falling across America as trillions in wealth flee to the 'Boom Belt'

A new economic iron curtain is falling across America as the "Boom Belt" — an 11-state powerhouse in the U.S. Southeast — shatters records and challenges the traditional financial dominance of New York and Chicago.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott joined forces in Miami on Tuesday to celebrate a $9 trillion gross domestic product (GDP) region that is now outpacing every other quadrant of the country in population, jobs and capital investment.

"I often tell people, as Governor of Florida, my job is to closely follow California, Illinois, New York, so I can do precisely the opposite of what they do," DeSantis said during the panel held at the Pérez Art Museum. "Florida's had more adjusted gross income move into our state since I've been governor than has ever moved into any state in the history of the United States."…….

……The governors spotlighted how Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas now generate $9 trillion in annual GDP, trailing only the U.S. and China globally, while absorbing 70% of all U.S.
population growth in the last five years……

The migration has been fueled by more than just sunshine; it is a tactical retreat from a wave of tax-the-rich proposals sweeping through blue-state legislatures including California, New York and now Washington….

This thread is about $$$ moving from blue states to red states. The post you replied to was about the 11 red states with blue state $$$$ migrating them. You bring up it hurting the US long term ability to compete. I ask how is what the 11 states are doing hurt the US ability to compete since it’s the post ypu quoted & replied to.
