If I wanted to indict republicans I would have done so- there's plenty to go with. But this thread was about the dink debate and the fact that the Demo have slid so far left that capital S Socialism is something their base now embraces
Evidenced by the way the whole field except Webb tilted hard left, while ol Bernie stayed Bernie. 4 years ago it was still a dirty word. Now it's just Feeling the Bern

Taxes DO need to be raised on the wealthy - they have been waging a class warfare on the middle and lower classes, and many loopholes need to be plugged.
And of course, not spending trillions on useless wars would help, or trillions on worthless defense systems

Re: Donk Debate
The idea that we've substituted Corporations for Persons is apparently "baffling" to CID
All you have to do is read this link to see it laid out
http://www.goodjobsfirst.org/sites/defa ... ations.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
But that's all that has happened
No - its not the "text book" definition of Capitalism - but its the version we have created
When a federal system decides its most valuable resource is large companies (not individual citizens) and substitutes the corporation for the citizen you have what we have "Socialism for Corporations"
and I'm not even sure I would argue that this isn't actually the best solution
in fact I am inclined to think it is...
Nobody wants to hear it explained like that because you come off sounding like a Marxist
But it manifests itself - this company as person substitution - in so many ways across the board
It is the America version of Capitalism
