Re: 2017 MLB Thread
Big series between the Ms and Os starts tonight. Hopefully the Mariners can keep it to fewer than 5 errors in the first.

Twins with a game lead for the final wildcard.
My Tigers have been out for a while, have to follow the home team.

It only took two week for the Nats to lap the Stros. Hell, they may end up the #3 seed in the AL.Chizzang wrote:The Astros89Hen wrote:Astros falling like a rock. AL top seed now in jeopardy.
Even after losing 7 of their last 10

Talk around baseball, is that the Astros failed to help themselves at the trade deadline.89Hen wrote:It only took two week for the Nats to lap the Stros. Hell, they may end up the #3 seed in the AL.Chizzang wrote:

Re: 2017 MLB Thread
Aren't the Astros 4.5 up on the Red Sox and 3.5 up on the Indians for the top seed in the AL? And yes, the Astros did little at the trade deadline. Apparently they were just waiting for the Sept 1st deadline. This Verlander guy might help them down the stretch.Gil Dobie wrote:Talk around baseball, is that the Astros failed to help themselves at the trade deadline.89Hen wrote: It only took two week for the Nats to lap the Stros. WWWWWWWWWWW
Diamondbacks, the past two weeks. Have picked up 10 games on the Dodgers and opened up a nice comfortable lead in the wild card race.

Meanwhile, the Rockies are turning out to be who everyone thought they were before the season began. They may still limp into the playoffs, but their butt hole is going to be wide open for the raping they are going to get in the playoffs.
And what is going on with the Dodgers now? Pretty much no chance they lose the division, but they are not looking so good right now. It would be cool to see the DB's get it down to 5 or 6 games though, just to scare the them.

Boston's Chris Sale, 2017 Cy Young Award Nominee (15-7, 2.85 ERA), is now 0-3 in 5 starts vs. the Yankees. Red Sox are 1-4 in those games. 34 innings pitched and 50 strikeouts.

Dodgers went 16-4 before their most recent 1-9 skid.
DBacks got swept by the Twinkies and then embarked on their current 13-1 streak....
Can it continue?

Re: 2017 MLB Thread
The Rockies slide can be attributed to one thing, they are batting under .200 since August with RISP. Figured the pitching would crumble it has not.

Manny Machado hit his third walk-off homerun in 19 days last night. Against the Assholes last night, which makes it even sweeter.
