Albany has better losses.Franks Tanks wrote:Just like you have Albany ranked--homerdanefan wrote:

A 6-6 Lafayette team that somehow won the PL championship didnt even get smoked that bad by UMASS in 2006. That was the year UMASS BEAT Montana and played in the NC game. This year's UMASS team isnt as good as the 06 team and Holy Cross this year is better than the 06 Leopards-- no way they lose 30AZGrizFan wrote:Yeah, they would, numbnuts. Holy Cross lost to Brown. And no wins-- Colgate has zero losses and no wins (by your criteria)AZGrizFan wrote:Albany has better losses.Franks Tanks wrote:

First week I've had them ranked all year.Franks Tanks wrote:Just like you have Albany ranked--homerdanefan wrote:

Hmm....Maine beat Hofstra last week and played tough against Richmond for the majority of the game this weekend.Franks Tanks wrote:And no wins-- Colgate has zero losses and no wins (by your criteria)AZGrizFan wrote:

If that was all that Albany did I wouldn't rank them. Bryant figured something out defensively against Albany. If someone else does it, I'll take them out of my rankings.Franks Tanks wrote:AZGrizFan wrote:

Albany beat a terrible Bryant team by 3 -- Fordham beat Bryant 35-3

I don't have Colgate ranked either.Franks Tanks wrote:And no wins-- Colgate has zero losses and no wins (by your criteria)AZGrizFan wrote:

This is the second week for Albany in my poll so I don't see yours as a homer vote.danefan wrote:If that was all that Albany did I wouldn't rank them. Bryant figured something out defensively against Albany. If someone else does it, I'll take them out of my rankings.Franks Tanks wrote:

And I knew I'd take some crap for ranking them. I struggled with it, but when it came down to it I had Albany, Colgate, FAMU, Central Conn. and Lafayette to decide from. Head-to-head, I'd take Albany over any of those 4 opponents. That's why I ranked them.

i've got albany in too... ccsu is at 26 for medanefan wrote:If that was all that Albany did I wouldn't rank them. Bryant figured something out defensively against Albany. If someone else does it, I'll take them out of my rankings.Franks Tanks wrote:

Jeezus, get your panties in a bunch why don't ya? Holy Crap. Way to go in representing the SLC there SFA FAN!!!!!. You're taking this all out on the wrong forum, bubba.SFA Fan!!! wrote:Stephen F Austin University Is Getting No Respect! We Are Definitely A Top 10 Team. Arkansas 30) And They Still Have McNeese Rankes Ahead Of Us. I Just Dont Understand, i Feel We Should Atleast Be In Front Of McNeese State. When I First Seen This Team Play Against SMU I Felt Like They Were Going To Be A Great Team. What Do You Guys Think of the S.F.A Lumberjacks?

That's not the only thing that goes into rankings and I can't imagine a poll that only considered something like that. In my poll they aren't above SFA due to the fact that they have a resume to go on. People that act like that is the be all end all make me question their thinking.guinzone wrote:The issue should have nothing to do with why Stephen F. No. Stephen F. Austin is the real deal with better wins. They each have 1 loss....Ursus A. If Indiana State were to beat UNI should you rank UNI below ISU during that week?

Yes, I said that in the "resume" part but I'm talking about the they beat this team argument. In this case it holds up only due to the fact that they both have the goods to back it up at this point. You can't use that in too many cases and it's normally the suckier team beating a better team when you hear that broken record of little validity.guinzone wrote:No. Stephen F. Good team? Yes
Top 10? Not yet (sweep the conference and you have my vote)
SB Ranked in front of McNeese? Don't really care. I was at the McNeese game and saw what happened. I was not that impressed with the Jacks offense but they got the job done in the first quarter so the W is in their column. IMO if the two teams play 10 times the Cowboys win 7.
So, just win out and things will take care of themselves.
