Actually Im going to blame our kicker, Jon Williams, who missed a 30 something yard field goal AND a PAT.
with a 40something yard field goal into the wind good by Snoy, Snoy better get the FG and PAT responsibilities

If Weber had won the same games by the same scores, I darn sure would not be calling the victories an ass-kicking!Wedgebuster wrote:Told you Wyoming and Colorado State would kick Weber's ass.

Cameron made mistakes to be sure, but the blame lays squarely on the shoulders of the placekicking special teams, especially Williams!Wildcat Ryan wrote:Actually Im going to blame our kicker, Jon Williams, who missed a 30 something yard field goal AND a PAT.BlackFalkin wrote:One loss to Eastern for sure. Snoy was fantastic on all his kicks, including the 47-yard field goal!

you win as a team and lose as a team, can't really dis williams too much, he was a good kicker last yr.

As of today's Sagarin ratings, the Eagles would be favored by a field goal going into this weekend, if hosting Weber State, but Montana at home would be favored by more than 4 points over EWU.
There is a lot of football to play between now and 10 October, when the Eags host Weber, or the following weekend, when they must travel to Missoula.
Eastern Washington's loss to #8 Cal was a beat down, unlike Weber's loss to #8 Utah last year.
...Yeah, BF, that was a gauntlet thrown down. Go ahead and pick it up!

I'm sure there's some fans of Cal Poly who were wishin' for a new kicker last year.....but I agree with you. There's a body of evidence that suggests Williams just had an off night. One game does not a trend make.weberwildcat wrote:Wildcat Ryan wrote:

Right, 0-2 may not be the beginning of a trend, but .......
