Somebody on eGriz claimed the Washington family was pro-Stitt. I have no idea if that's true, though.

The Griz have basically wasted the last 4 years...
They go from an 80 year old man to what amounts to what "Chip Kelly lite" was in the NFL
to now having nothing

They have some work to do...

And they should start by lowering their academic standards to match Eastern and Weber

Well WIU finished 4th in the MVFC and you got them by 2, at your place.

A good win, for sure, but let’s not act like WIU is some kind of monster force.

Monster force? No. Really good team with great players at QB, RB, WR, and LB? Yes. These two shouldn't have been paired up in the first round. Either could win a couple of games given better matchups. I think both would be in the quarters if they had South Dakota's draw.

Nice win for Weber.

Northern Iowa finished 2nd in the MVFC and lost by 9 to this same WIU team at home so........ :coffee: I'll take a 2 point win over a 9 point loss any day. :thumb:

Also considering prior to last night only North Dakota State held this same Western Illinois team to under 20 points. That says a lot about the Leathernecks. And is a great :thumb: to Weber's defense to hold a MVFC member that averaged over 35 points a game to just 19.

Not world beaters, but they were 6-1 on the road on the season. Not something just average teams do.

Different year, same song. Every MVFC team that makes the playoffs is a legit title contender, until one of them loses or barely squeaks by Nichols State. Then it's "well, they weren't THAT good".

That's my take on montucky's fiasco. Getting rid of Stitt was their first good HC move in a handful of years.

The MVFC is REALLY good. Not over-rated. The Big Sky is not far behind.

SD has struggled since they lost the two DB's but a road playoff win, even a close one against Nicholls, requires no apologies.

Are you two done now? :tothehand:

I would have given Stitt another year and told the donor that the U of M is bigger than their opinion.

That said, who's a better choice than Hauck?

One thing I really grew to dislike about Stitt was his lack of halftime adjustments. We lost games we shouldn't have numerous times due to poor planning and play calling. I am glad to see him go.

And yeah, Hauck won/shared the conference title every year he was here. So I'm not sad to see him return.

You’re kidding, right?

Valpo: 267 yards of offense in the 1st half, 13 points; 183 yards in the 2nd half, 10 points
Savannah State: 199 yards of offense in the 1st half, 55 yards in the 2nd half
Eastern: skip
PSU: skip
ISU: 21 points 1st half, 10 points 2nd half
UND: 246 of 283 total yards gained AFTER scrubs were put in and we were up 34-3
WSU: 34 points 1st half, 7 points 2nd half
NAU: 206 yards first half, 111 yards 2nd half
UNC: complete domination after UNC’s 1st drive
MSU: 21 points 1st half, 10 points 2nd half, 250 yards 1st half, 170 in 2nd

And now it’s all a moot point. :x  Why in the FUCK did I just do that research????

I'm glad it was you and not me. :coffee:

The "doesn't make halftime adjustments" criticism is always a generic substitute for "I don't like him, but I'm not sure why." I mean, people criticized Gregorak for that even though his problem was exactly the opposite (good adjustments, lousy gameplans).
