Hey, I think he was shooting atheists. Or he's Catholic and shooting non-catholics.

Or he since he said it and started firing before anyone responded, was just mentally ill.
Oregon gunman singled out Christians during rampage.

Where does it say that Christians were singled out?

I take media reports in the first 24 hours with huge grains of salt anymore, because our media is so irresponsible in checking sources, but there are multiple outlets reporting it, Jon.

Laugh because it's the Post, but:

I mean, a girl on Twitter claimed her grandmother was there. That's a solid source, right? ;)

So these lib idiots turned down arned security. The blood is on their hands. :ohno: :ohno: :ohno:

So you want the school to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to have armed security guards in every class you're the **** idiot

If there's any blood on anyone's hands other than the shooters it's on the NRA and their moronic supporters
Not in every class you f'ing moron. But if there was ALREADY a security guard on campus it wouldn't cost that much more to allow him to be armed. It would cost the school a few thousand more a year, not hundreds of thousands. Got you're an idiot.. :dunce:

If the campus wasn't a gun-free zone, perhaps a CCW permit holder could have prevented this murder spree. And I am not well versed in Oregon gun laws to even know if their CCW process is overly restrictive like Delaware and other blue states.

What seems to be the problem here?
Jon, it says so in the article. Jeesh.
Whether the article has the facts straight is another story, but please open your mind and read the article. It's right there in print, especially in the headline.

The gunman, who is now deceased, was 26-year-old Chris Harper Mercer,

I really wouldn't run too far with a Muslim angle. Again, media reports so far are based on a Twitter account of a girl relating her grandmother's anecdotal testimony.

Saw on TV somewhere (can't find it in print) that the killer was in an anonymous chat room and said he was going to do this. It was reported that some of the others egged him on while others said don't do it.

Those morons will soon hear a knock on their doors.

Another early report that needs to be taken with grain of salt.

But seriously, a guy named Chris Mercer in Oregon idolizing the IRA and shooting people self identifying as Christian.

I'm thinking our news media is just really bad at their jobs.

I'm pretty sure it was on CNN because Wolf Blitzer kept interrupting her for other breaking news and Obama. After a half hour, she finally got to finish her report.

Here you go:
Investigators were reportedly examining social media posts Mercer made Wednesday night, according to CNN. He appeared to have had a conversation with others online about his intentions, a source said.

Thanks for linking. I find this sentence interesting:
The student code of conduct bans guns "without written authorization."
What does that mean specifically? The article doesn't clarify that. Does it mean that in addition to a CCW, a student must also get further written authorization from the college? Also, how clear was the college in its policy? A lot of times, a simple gun free zone sign might deter a legal CCW holder from carrying. For instance, in VA, if I saw a sign that said "guns prohibited", I'd leave my piece in my car without calling a lawyer and questioning the legality, basically because I wanted my Buffalo Wild Wings to go without a hassle.
