I never said they were fair and balanced. They aren't. They have a liberal agenda. I'm just saying you're wrong and my posts have proved that. You are the child that can't admit you're wrong. Your stereotype didn't work. Hell, even Fox News will occasionally criticize Republicans. Perhaps you should work on reading comprehension. Maybe you can do that in retirement.

Also, a job joke? That's clever. That was such a witty retort. That's top notch. Well played. Glad to see you're such an adult. Such a mature man. :)
Whatever works for you, Travis.

I proved my point.

Kalm has become the election year TTBF, and you, the junk-yard dog defender, uber-lib, homo.

And, btw, virtually every male born in America after 1960 has tried marijuana; the few that haven't are the ones we shouldn't be entrusting to make decisions/laws. Bush is simply opposing the "medical marijuana" rationale (scam) being used by millions of abusers as a means to "legally" obtain their drug.

1) I posted this as a Bush v. Paul thing.

2) You think the state should regulate a relatively harmless plant that you can grow in your backyard.

Funny, you never mentioned anything about being POTUS.

I shouldn't be entrusted to make decisions? Might need to make quite a few people in my life aware of that.

Yeah, the people that are able the follow laws and not do illegal drugs, have no police record, never been in handcuffs, etc... those are the people that shouldn't be trusted.

Yes. Because I know that I don't know. I'd surround myself with great minds (not political operatives), have a system to identify problems, and a method for expeditiously resolving the problem which included bringing ALL players to the table with one caveat: The problem gets resolved. Obstructionists would lose their seat at the table.

As for yourself, your decision not to is your own, but probably influenced more by regional morals than rationale. Furthermore, youthful pot smoking IS AN AGE APPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR. I would argue that youth who eschew ALL experimentation do so as the result of either; a social dysfunction; a medical problem; a misperception ("one puff of maree-jaw-waw-naw WILL KILL YOU...IT'S THE DEVIL"). In any event, close-mindedness IS NOT an asset to develop wisdom or solve problems.

Nothing personal, Clenz, but the world is full of folks who "Don't know what they don't know". And yes, I made a good living "fixing" their problems.

Peace

So, I'm incapable of surrounding myself with brilliant minds and admitting that there are things I don't know? All because I've not voluntarily broken the law?

I get it might be an "age appropriate" thing...kind of, I guess?

Why have I not?
a social dysfunction
Nope. I have no social dysfuntion. Hell, I lived with a dealer and had a best man in my wedding that smoked. I have a good amount of friends and am great in social situations
a medical problem
Nope. Overweight, sure. Other than that healthy.
a misperception ("one puff of maree-jaw-waw-naw WILL KILL YOU...IT'S THE DEVIL")
Nope. I don't buy into the hysteria around weed. If you want to smoke it that's fine with me. IDGAF.

It's just something I've never done. I don't know why that's so hard to comprehend without it being some sort of mental/social retardation

Clenz, it sounds as though the illegality of smoking pot was your principle reason not to try it. What was your reason?

In my life experience, I've found lifetime abstainers to be both arrogant and obtuse. Their choice of mentors/teammates/counselors is often lacking (frequently ONLY like-minded, rarely challenging, inevitably sycophantic)...the LAST person who should be chosen as an adviser...think Romney.

Tman some of us younger folks had it drilled in our heads in school that recreational drugs (including pot) were dangerous and bad for your health. A lot of us avoided it out of fear, whether that fear was justified or not.

That doesn't mean we obey orders uquestioningly or are a bunch of namby pamby goody tooshoes. Most of us took our first drink well before 21, I can tell you that.

I got it out of my system in high school. My adult drug-of-choice has been aged red wine and single malt scotch.

Simply saying, the reason(s) that prevent most from youthful experimentation aside from medical, are most often fallacious. The flaw(s) manifested by those decisions become the foundation of greater character flaws as that person matures.

I'm going to start billing you guys for my time.

Anecdotal evidence is..ah whats the use? I've smoked pot, ate some shrooms and smoked something that turned tree's into wavy beams of color. That doesn't make me more qualified that someone that hasn't. And to suggest otherwise is simply idiotic.

Aside from sips of my parents wine or beer, my first beer was on St. Patricks Day when I was 15, my grandfather bought me a beer.

My parents never had the drug or alcohol talk, which was odd b/c I was raised in a strict, Catholic household. I was simply told to make smart decisions and do everything in moderation.
