FWIW, Liberty is 3-10 vs D1 out of conference the previous three seasons. My guess is they will be 3-3 or 2-4 this year. Hard to say they're underrated.bucs90 wrote:Just off seeing them play over the years, I've always thought their team was underrated quite often.

"And honestly, as bad as Vanderbilt has looked, if CSU is truly a top 25 FCS team then CSU should be able to cause Vandy some problems, and keep that game within 30 points."
ANY team that loses to Vanderbilt by 30 points shouldn't be ranked at ANY level in my opinion. FBS, FCS, DII, DIII...

Re: FCS Coaches Poll: What ya think?
Very true. But beware of any program capable of struggling with a D3 one week then beating ranked FCS the next as CSU has done in the past! We are a jekyll and hyde program...never know which Bucs team will.get off the bus.Ibanez wrote:bucs90 wrote:
We'll lose to Vandy for sure. But, they're awful and if CSU is a top 25 team they should at least hang in there for a little while before the inevitable loss. We'll lose to UGA obviously. @ Liberty will be a very tough win. We've only won once there (25-0 in 2000). And Gardner Webb is never an easy game either.
As for Coastal, you say you'll never let us get 2 wins in a row huh? Another FCS team on the SC coast said the same thing![]()
I know Coastal should beat us, and chances are you guys will. But that black skull and bones pirate flag will be flying on the USS Ladson and come up the coast looking for some plunder!!! Hows the parking there at CCU now? Will 1 hour early be enough? It was a disaster at CSU Saturday. The rain flooded the normal grass field they park in, so they sent cars all over campus parking in student and staff parking, across the street at the hospital. One security guard actually told us "I don't know where you need to park, just drive around and find somewhere". Classic CSU! Only we could have that kind of bush league arrangement surrounding our program...and still pull out wins!
Coastal is better than El Cid. Period.I haven't tailgated at CCU since 2008 so I don't know. I know there's more parking due to the HTC Center

They are still an SEC team, just adjusting to new coach with new playbook and philosophy and freshman qquarterback. They're bad at their level for sure. But they are an FBS SEC team.vutomcat wrote:"And honestly, as bad as Vanderbilt has looked, if CSU is truly a top 25 FCS team then CSU should be able to cause Vandy some problems, and keep that game within 30 points."

Vandy played pretty strong against South Carolina this past weekend. Another thing is that, as weak as they've been relative to the SEC, the program has never lost to a I-AA/FCS team and they have usually blown the I-AA FCS teams out.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth

Yep. I'd be quite content if CSU can play Vandy within 30 points. CSU actually gave Kentucky quite a bit of trouble a few years back. Ended up losing pretty big, over 25 I think, but UK had some trouble with CSU that day.JohnStOnge wrote:Vandy played pretty strong against South Carolina this past weekend. 2hrs may be close in Montana. But not here. Especially if I have to drive through Hell Hole Swamp and Georgetown.Grizalltheway wrote:I said 'like', close enough. Either way, you're lame.Ibanez wrote: I live 2 hours from Coastal Carolina.So....you're dumb.

Always been amused about how two of the most fun, and most popular tourist cities in the South, and hell, in the country, in Charleston and Myrtle Beach, who are separated only by an hour and a half or two hours straight drive.....can be separated by such a hellhole nothingness and depressing sight that is Georgetown. I mean...look at the stretch from Savannah to Wilmington. You have Savannah (awesome), Hilton Head (not my cup of tea, but very nice), Charleston (#1 tourist destination in the US and world, supposedly), FREAKIN Georgetown, then Myrtle Beach (great beach, tourist, golf resort), then Wilmington, which is a really nice, pretty city.Ibanez wrote:2hrs may be close in Montana. Myrtle Beach, IMO, is a step above G-town but is still a hell hole. I absolutely, loathe that city. Conway is nice. Murrells Inlet, Pawley's, Litchfield are good areas.bucs90 wrote:Always been amused about how two of the most fun, and most popular tourist cities in the South, and hell, in the country, in Charleston and Myrtle Beach, who are separated only by an hour and a half or two hours straight drive.....can be separated by such a hellhole nothingness and depressing sight that is Georgetown.
