I do find it interesting to see the old timers in their uniforms. They will have maybe 2 rows and their shit means something. There is a lt. col. in my vfw that did his 35 bombing missions over Germany in a B17 and he isn't onto a 3rd row. Talk about a cool dude too.

When I was in, the blues were formal dress. Our Class A's were the greens. I liked the greens a lot better.

As for the decorations, a couple of weeks ago I did some online research to find out what ribbons and medals I'm eligible for. It appears that I'm eligible for three full rows. I had a row-and-a-half when I got out of the Army after seven years. I think they made a lot of shit up after I got out and now I'm eligible for retroactively.
