Not giddy. If you look back when it happened I said something to the effect that they should shoot everyone of those militia types that showed up with weapons, especially the one from Montana. I'm still waiting for that clown to get his!BDKJMU wrote:Well, I can see this whole thing has made you downright giddy..VictorG wrote:Yup...Yup!!![]()

Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

Re: Bundy Follower - Vegas Shooter
There are some occasional cool projects... but, most of them really aren't anything that exciting to be completely honest.Ibanez wrote:I wanted to go into archeology. What are y'all excavating?
For this project we're contracted by the Virginia Department of Transportation to survey an area targeted for rode widening. So, we're surveying the area for archaeological sites (by digging 30cm x 30cm shovel test pits in a 15m grid) and then determining if there is anything significant enough to warrant either a full excavation or telling VDOT to avoid the area entirely (won't happen... would have to be extremely important and sensitive). So far we've just found two general stores dating to the early 1900s and an old homestead dating to ~1880s.
Most of our projects are fairly boring like this one. Though, a month and a half ago we did some excavations on the Cedar Creek battlefield which was actually interesting and we found some cool stuff like tons of buttons, belt buckles, minie balls, etc. etc. But, those projects are pretty rare in the kind of archaeology (cultural resource management) where most of the jobs are.
