The RCC was headed in the right direction with VATICAN II but Pope Paul VI, John Paul II and Benedict XVI certainly put the kibosh on that. Can't lay anything at JP1 since the Vatican had him assisinated and JP2 covered up priest buggery like it was going out of style.

Somebody should warn Francis lest they try to knock him off as well. :ohno: :ohno: :ohno:

Yours faithfully,

Most interesting part of the doc for me was when it hit on the Milwaukee Diocese and their blatant money shuffling (approved by the Vatican) to avoid settlements with abused families. I'm amazed at the Catholic Church's blatant disregard for the victims in the name of keeping profits...then the doc was capped off with Pope Francis railing against the evils of capitalism.   :ohno: :ohno: :ohno:

Pretty much confirmed and validated EVERYTHING I've been saying about the Vatican and church hierarchy for years.

The worst part was that poor guy from Milwaukee telling his story to the that fucking bishop, who was no doubt thinking about ass reaming little boys, he didn't seem to give a fuck, try as he might - AND that cunt sitting next to him, probably a Vatican lawyer, chewing gum like kid, bored out of her mind.

The utter callousness of the church is disgusting.

The catholic church leadership/vatican is a an organized crime family.

Pedophile cult, supported financially by the catholic laity and, most important - through their ignorance, complacency and cowardice. This phenomenon is similar to what happened in Nazi Germany - a populace conditioned by religion to aquiesce to authority, looking the other way or actively participating in atrocities.

Maciel brough in countless millions into the Vatican, in return he was allowed to rape women and children.

Jesus would be appalled.

Another thing - John Paul II - the fuck they're fast tracking to sainthood knowingly looked the other way and allowed his pigs to rape children.

The catholic church will now have another criminal saint.

Cult.

Also, Benedict came out looking actually human. Good for him to bail on that shit house.

Just to be clear, you're talking about the formal creation of the cemetery trust -- upheld as legitimate and proper by a federal court. Perhaps if this "documentary" was trying to be fair, it might have explained why, despite the baseless cries of foul by the personal injury lawyers, the federal court found nothing devious or improper in the formal creation of this trust. These facts are in the public record and would have been easy for an "investigative reporter" to find.

Thank you for pointing out a great example of how unbalanced this fraudulent "investigative" piece was. :coffee:

My favorite moment was Jeffrey Ander$on declaring "all roads lead to the Vatican." He has advanced that allegation in many lawsuits against the Vatican -- all of which he has lost due to his failure to provide proof for this statement. And the "documentary" makers let that stand as an uncontested "fact."

Perhaps an investigative reporter might have asked, "If all roads lead to the Vatican, how come you have never proved that to the satisfaction of any court in which you have made that allegation?"

It's the Vatican hiding behind international soveirgnty laws and diplomatic immunity. Any corporation or private individual's home would have been raided by the police.

As Frontline confirmed, all roads lead to the Vatican.

You don't get it. Jeffrey Anderson was trying to steal money which had been donated by people for the care and preservation of their loved ones' graves, and a federal court said he could not do it, the trust was legitimate, funded by donors, and had a proper religious purpose. And even after a federal court goes on record with these factual findings, Anderson can still convince the media to report that the trust was a fraud. It's remarkable how gullible, compliant, or stupid members of the media have become.

The fund is legal and was part of a move so the Milwaukee Diocese can claim bankruptcy to avoid settlement claims. So instead of the church having to face any consequences of its actions, it gets completely off and gets to fuck their victims one last time. Sad that you think this is ok for you church to do such moves all in the name of keeping money. :ohno:

You don't understand anything about the law concerning "donor intent."

As I said on this board after reviewing the documents, this case was a slam dunk in favor of the Trust. The law, the equities, the facts were all on the side of the Trust.

Thankfully, grieving widows who donated for the perpetual care of their loved one's grave won't have to pay for Jeffrey Ander$on's next 700 series model.

Grieving widows should not have been asked to donate to such a highly endowed fund. This is highly unethical and really is fraud.

Exactly. Church protecting their assets to avoid accountability.

Jesus would have embraced vicitims with care and compassion and ensured their recovery.

The catholic church really has nothing to do with jesus anymore.

All the billions of dollars spent by the church losing case after child abuse case was donated by widows, you, GannonFan, 89Hen, poor people, etc. I bet when you write that check each sunday your intent was not to pay the damages for a child that was raped by your priests.

The corpus of a trust exists to generate income, but generally speaking, the corpus cannot be spent -- only interest on the corpus can be spent. (We are speaking about perpetual care of the cemeteries, so the corpus has to be maintained).

A trust of $57 million probably kicks off about $3.5 million in interest every year. The diocese maintains eight cemeteries. The average golf course course costs over $1 million to maintain every year.

Next. :coffee:
