It's like GM...or the city of Detroit.

1). Have conks ever voted to reduce veterans benefits?

2). Illegal aliens file taxes? :?
Make them legal and then they have to settle up back taxes with the IRS. I know first hand that is part of the process when becoming a citizen. A good friend of mine got his papers after living for many years in the states. Part of the process is meeting with the IRS and "settling up".

You missed the point. And only a small portion of the military is in a combat role.

Again, everything is on the table. This is a COLA reduction. Supplement the income.
See, THAT'S the fucking problem. Everything is NOT on the table. If it WAS, I wouldn't be saying a word. They choose to keep ridiculous, retarded shit IN, and cut something like THIS while we've got troops fighting and dying on a daily basis out there.

I hope this happens. We would be out withdrawing from AfganPak and Iraq within days.

Correct. Everything should be on the table but it isn't. I am sure Repubs said increased taxes isn't on the table and Dems countered with entitlement cuts aren't on the table.

So they raise "fees" and don't call them taxes, and they cut military entitlements while the military is out dying for our "cause".

I would argue that "the troops" need to wise-up...
They're dying for Exxon Mobil / Royal Dutch Shell and U.S. Mining Rights :ohno: and nothing else

The idea that U.S. troops somehow defend our freedom is a tired act
it's all played out boys and you've got to be almost retarded to buy into it - in the bright light of today's world

Hey I'm all for it... Go die in the sand for Exxon Boo Rah
But lets stop pretending it's got anything to do with honor
Can we all just talk like adults here
or do some of us really believe we're saving America and the free world..?

They can't retire after 20 years? And who exactly are the "workers?" What are you implying?

To your point:
My dad retired from the Military at 42 yrs old (He's 75 now)
Gets $7,200 a month - every month - for the rest of his life

He's the guy who told me a long time ago
Our military should only be stationed here in the U.S.
Elsewhere - all over the globe - the rest of them should be Mercenary Contractors
Highly paid / Heavily Armed / Mercenaries

No U.S. troops abroad unless we're fighting an actual world threat (like Hitler)

I don't think that federal employees can retire at age 38 after 20 years of service. You can join the military after high school and retire after 20 years and be on the federal payroll for 50% of your base pay at retirement, plus COLAs for the rest of your life.

If it's such a great fucking deal why do they struggle to meet recruiting quotas?
