Ann Romney Fights Back: Debuts on Twitter to Counter DNC Advisor’s Insult
"PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Ann Romney’s debut on Twitter couldn’t have come at a more opportune time.
Ann’s first tweet came just moments after Democratic strategist and DNC adviser Hilary Rosen lobbed an insult at Ann Romney, suggesting that the 64-year-old mother of five and grandmother of 16 had never held a job.
“Guess what, his wife has actually never worked a day in her life,” said Rosen, who was being interviewed by CNN’s Anderson Cooper about the “war on women.”
And then, just like that, a familiar name popped up on Twitter: @AnnDRomney.
“I made a choice to stay home and raise five boys. Believe me, it was hard work,” Ann tweeted.
The Romney campaign confirmed to ABC News that the account belongs to Ann Romney."
Say what you want about Mitt Romney, but his wife seems to be very likable and after seeing Obama's handlers immediately jump in and do damage control, I don't think the DNC talking heads want to fight that battle.
Upon further review.......
I finally saw the entire clip of what Rosen said and she's mostly right. With fvcking maids and servants and two Caddies, a car elevator at ONE of their mansions, I know the bitch never did a fvcking moment of work outside the home, save for the occasional Conk Women's tea party or cookie show.
Here's Catholic League president Bill Donohue on Hilary Rosen:
@CatholicLeague: Lesbian Dem Hilary Rosen tells Ann Romney she never worked a day in her life. Unlike Rosen, who had to adopt kids, Ann raised 5 of her own.
She's a mom, too, and had to earn a living to support her two kids, who are African-American, BTW.
So, fuck the Catholic League and fvck Conks who have also stepped on their dicks here.

Oh for goodness sakes, lighten up GF. Parenting and running a household is a full time job, probably even for those fortunate souls who employed 5 nannies in 2011. Mormon moms are especially superb and highly efficient at it. then again, my sil is raising 5 kids while launching a new business venture and she even had to dump her one nanny last year as she was going through a divorce. The underlying point is that the Romney's might be just a little out of touch. But they can at least take solace in the fact the NFL and NASCAR team owners in their peer group feel exactly the persecution.GannonFan wrote:Amazing the level of tone deafness on this one - she ripped into a stay at home mother. Amazingly, very few Dems appear to have taken your view and have realized that there's nothing to be gained by continuing to try to portray Mrs. Romney as a rich person out of touch with the rest of the country and diminish her efforts as a stay at home mom. That's where the tone-deafness is on your part - you just don't vilify someone for choosing to stay at home to raise their kids, no matter how much money they have. Cooler heads than yours on the Dem side seem to get that.kalm wrote:Oh for goodness sakes, lighten up GF. I agree with both of you. However, let's emphasize, as you have illustrated, that Hilary Rosen has nothing to do with the administration. She is a lone wolf and has apologized.
Still, I saw the entire clip of her comments and she is right about Mrs. Romney. I think if Rosen and Mrs. Romeny had an opportunity to sit and talk about this, they would enjoy each other immensely.....that is if AR could get past her homophobic beliefs......

Yeah, Ganny, you're right, but the rub starts when her azzhole husband tries to take advice economic advice from a woman who hasn't bought groceries for herself and her family since the Ford administration.

The ideas are what matters, not where or whom they come from. I ran to the grocery store last night to buy some frozen French toast sticks and some Lil' Debbie Swiss Rolls (love those things) - that doesn't automatically raise (or lower) my level of economic intelligence. It just means I was hungry and I don't have the best diet in the world.Cap'n Cat wrote:GannonFan wrote:

Nope, gotta flag you on this one, Ganny. Romney claims his wife is in touch with what women are talking about in regard to the economy. She has never demonstrated that. This Rosen "controversy" is a fabricated stall tactic to get her through a crash course in Macroeconomics at Compton Junior College before she has to plant her smug Conkess mug in front of a microphone again, lest she really shit herself and send hubby's campaign into deeper hibernation.

And I'll flag you right back. How would one ever, to your satisfaction, demonstrate that? She's a woman, she raised a family, so she obviously has some idea of what goes into that, no matter how much easier it was for her than someone with less money. What the fabrication in all this is is that people like Rosen are claiming that rich people can't ever know anything about the economy and are automatically disqualified because of it. And people like Rosen stumbled around saying that and got caught basically saying that stay at home Mom's don't get it either. Now granted, you can be of the belief that rich people don't have a clue, especially if you can back it up, but it's probably best just saying that rather than dancing around it and inadvertently saying something else.Cap'n Cat wrote:GannonFan wrote:

Just kidding. In the final analysis, I don't care. This will disappear. It's universal that women are great.

Re: Way to go Donks!!!
I like how nobody (of the political talking heads) has commented on the fact that if we are really concerned with how out of touch Ann Romney is to be the President's wife, then what does that say about our elected officials? How many of them have to worry about working paycheck to paycheck? How many of them have been the recipients of finances that really had nothing to do with their own efforts.GannonFan wrote:Amazingly, very few Dems appear to have taken your view and have realized that there's nothing to be gained by continuing to try to portray Mrs. Romney as a rich person out of touch with the rest of the country and diminish her efforts as a stay at home mom.
