I actually contributed to this forum a LOT when I was in college (under a different account name... can't remember what it was), but I guess I'm a little rusty.
Stick around. It seems like all the Appy State fans disappeared after 2008 (for some reason). We miss you guys!

You're seriously blaming a 28 point loss on the refs? Our goal line stand was legitimate and reviewed with video. Whether the reffing was good or bad does not account for a four TD point difference. And what does Joe Flacco being good in the NFL have to do with losing a championship game? He still threw for 334 yards, but the defense was rotten.
That goal line stand ended with a boot leg pass to our tight end, who was grabbed and thrown down by your linebacker before Flacco's throw (great coaching btw - a standard UD short yardage play that I'm sure Moore was all over - he probably told his LB to tackle our TE and risk the defensive holding call) - any reasonable back judge would've been focused on the TE release on the play and called the holding. We get the TD and we leave you guys in the dust. ASU was totally overrated - the NCAA clearly favored you guys by giving you all but 3K tickets and having MEAC refs do the game...

Anyone remember the sideline shot of the App players dancing around as the clock was running down and pointing to some old white guy in a suit and saying he was "the world's oldest pimp"?

Yeah, that was a bit awkward for the ESPN announcers to follow.

You forget that we then drove 99 yards to get a TD. We were on our goal line and you couldn't stop us. As for the TE thing, I don't remember that at all. As for the tickets, well I'll just let your AD at the time prove you wrong on that one: http://www.udel.edu/PR/UDaily/2008/dec/ ... 21007.html.

Finally, I don't get your point about the MEAC refs. Why would they have a preference for a SoCon team over a CAA team? If the refs are just bad, then they're probably going to be bad both ways. Blaming the refs is very lazy.

And not just 2007, but last year too - spot the ball properly, or handle the replay properly, and daHenz go home with the championship. Let's face it, after we smoked Colgate in 2003 the NCAA started hating on Delaware and kept screwing us over...

Jeff Pearlman made black people hate us, hence the MEAC bias in favor of Appy St. But geez, way to go all racist here and throw the lazy tag in when discussing MEAC refs. Another Appy bigot. :ohno:

Your quarterback's hairdo made his helmet sit way up on his head, which is against NCAA regulations. The refs should have never allowed that.

Lol WHAT? First of all, you need to reread my post. I said that "blaming the refs IS very lazy." I'm calling YOU lazy, not the refs. Secondly, I have no idea who the refs are and don't remember what race they were. So even if I HAD called the refs lazy (which I didn't), how in the world would that be racist?

This discussion is becoming ridiculous. You Delaware fans are obviously still bitter about getting blown out a few years ago and are contriving meaningless drivel to make yourselves feel the slightest bit better. It's pretty pitiful.

When you watch a steady stream of Delaware players achieve NFL stardom after coming ever so close to winning championships - only to have them stolen, yes stolen, away by NCAA chicanery - then you'd be bitter too. You guys cheated, the refs were lazy (your words), and even our AD was in on the conspiracy...

BTW, congrats on your 10th post...

Remember that they pull for the Phillies and Iggles as well. So please go easy on them.

Arg this is driving me nuts. I can't figure out when you guys are joking or not. After years of getting obliterated in various forums on the internet, I'm always in super defensive mode. Okay... we're cool now...

Oh come on, who was sloppy drunk now, or not even there at all? Only someone who was fall down drunk or just watching the game on his tv at home didn't know that MEAC guys were calling that game. This casts doubt on all your prior "first hand" observations regarding other fanbases and even the game itself.

I mean, you're probably still a flaming racist, and you might actually be citdog in disguise, but now we have to doubt everything else you said in this thread. Exposed. :tothehand:

Panthers have some upside. Iggles are descending into meaninglessness. (But please keep beating the Cowboys and Redskins).

Eagles will still easily win the division, as long as they don't get MEAC refs the rest of the way.

Yeah, there just aren't many SoCon fans on this site period. App fans didn't disappear in 2008. You just went to a different site for your FCS banter.

I'll say one thing about App St., I can see Old Dominion making a second round visit to Boone. I would be looking forward to seeing the track in person.
