They're 3-4.
Screamin_Eagle174 is talking about Simply Demented State University (SDSU), but the rest of us are talking about the 2-4 record of South Dakota State University (SDSU).

I would like to see someone make an argument that Stephen F. Austin would beat Villanova on a neutral field.

I argue that SFA would beat Nova and a neutral field. Book it.

Based on the rankings of the teams, SFA would win. Boo kitFact wrote:one with substance.clenz wrote: Okay...ready for it?

Re: TSN Week 7 Poll
Argue that Nova would win?
It's impossible to argue with substance that two teams that haven't played could beat one another.
However.
Jeremy Moses throws 2 less interceptions every 100 passes than does Whitney, despite throwing many more passes in the SFA pass happy offense, and Nova doesn't have a great statistical defense against the pass (outside the top 25 in pass efficiency D). Not to mention SFA's turnover margin is .5 better per game than Nova's.

I usually stay out of poll debates. What's the point?

I cannot believe what I just read.![]()
Using the "logic" from above, one can easily state the following:
There are six reasons LU is rated too high, and especially should not be rated higher than RMU.
1.They lost to RMU.
2. RMU lost to Dayton.
3. Dayton lost to Duquesne and Duquesne is 4-3. They played Delaware and it wasn't even close (30-6). One of Duquesne's losses is a 2-4 Monmouth team.
4. Did I mention that Liberty lost to Robert Morris?
5. There is very little respect for the Big South but I feel this is because the league does not have a quality win over a top 25 team (or an ARV) in the current poll.
6. Liberty lost to James Madison who lost to New Hampshire who lost to Maine who lost to Albany who lost to both Robert Morris and Duquesne.

Thank goodness for the FCS. The Championship is won ON THE FIELD (just like the Robert Morris victory over Liberty), and not in some poll where the voters rationalize like the prior poster.
I did not say it was right but that is the likely reasons many are not voting them in. I personally don't think any Big South or NEC team is truly top 20 in the nation this year (LU and RMU are 21-25 IMO). Nobody in either league would beat SDSU if they played but LU and RMU are what 6-1 and SDSU is just 2-4. Using a record is not very good logic either. This is why some of these top 15-20 teams truly need to play RMU and LU more often. And before anyone points out the JMU score I don't think JMU is truly a top 10 team when all is said and done. I believe they will lose 1 or 2 more games and won't end up in the top 10. They should be scary good next year though as they have a lot of fast juniors on that defense.
