EWU is known for their big time QBs, when one leaves another steps in to fill his place. ASU on the other hand is toast.ASUG8 wrote:I remember - I was there, and it was another nice win against your wonder boy Nichols. Without AE, we simply become a good team.BlackFalkin wrote:

Everybody thought the world was ending when Richie Williams left ASU, but that seemed to work out OK - I'm hearing good things about Jamal Jackson, so we'll see in September how things work out (if these guys can stay away from the John Deere's in the offseason).BlackFalkin wrote:EWU is known for their big time QBs, when one leaves another steps in to fill his place. I'm sure AE's tenure at App St as well as their performance during his time helped them recruit some nice players... didn't App St win a NC without AE? I'm sure everyone is glad the "predator" is gone, but don't think App is gonna stink for one second because of it.
Dallas sucks... been there. Chatty is ok... been there too. You been to chatty BF?

1.If it wasnt for a 3 point loss to ASU, EWU would have went on to win the NC that year.
2.ASU, without AE in 2010 is a 5 loss team.
3.EWU will win the 2010 BSC Title.
4.THE GRIZ REIGN OVER THE BSC IS OFFICIALLY OVER

1. If AE hadn't been hurt preseason, we may have been undefeated going into the Griz game, but we weren't - kind of like EWU couldn't beat us in regulation - ifs don't win ballgames - FAIL
2. FAIL - I'll guess 8-3 without knowing our QB situation
3. The Maxi Pad won't launch you into BSC contention - UM wins again - FAIL

Why are you on the Grizs' dck? Didnt they just beat ASU in the playoffs? BTW...ASUG8's epic fail. EWU is already a contender. Check the sig baby.ASUG8 wrote: The RED turf won't launch you into BSC contention - UM wins again -

Re: National Championship Site Chosen
I respect a solid program that can beat us - if that's riding the Griz, then that's your issue. I didn't say EWU doesn't have a good team, just not good enough to take it to the house. I checked the sig, but you can't seem to shake that Griz monkey off your back to win the BSC outright.BlackFalkin wrote:Why are you on the Grizs' dck? Didnt they just beat ASU in the playoffs? The Frisco organizers and the NCAA have said that they are open to switching the date of the game around. I expect it to be either Saturday or Sunday whenever ESPN has an open slot. I don't think ESPN would be really interested in going up against the Cotton Bowl either.fanofallthatisjmu wrote:i'm just psyched the Cotton Bowl will be same place same time
Also, just keep in mind that the conflict with the Cotton Bowl is only next year. After that the Cotton Bowl goes back to Jan. 2nd.

Lets be honest, little old Eastern Washington University was never supposed to be a title contender. Smallest budget in the Sky, used to have the smallest stadium in the Sky too. Now every time you turn around EWU is in the playoffs, beatin UNDEFEATED teams, winning conf titles and fightin for the chance to hoist. BSC POY awards, Walter Payton award winner & a Buck Buchannon award winner. Again EWU is in the national spotlight for being the first to install RED turf AND BELIEVE ME, more will follow. Point is; Dont ever, EVER, sleep on Eastern Washington University. EWU will be hoistin in 2010. Check the sig baby.

Not necessarily. The expanded playoffs moved the game to a date in close proximity to the BCS championship.fanofallthatisjmu wrote:and the championship game goes back to the night before the BCS championship game correct?danefan wrote: Also, just keep in mind that the conflict with the Cotton Bowl is only next year. They haven't really set the date as the night before. The news reports originally mentioned the night before because this year it was originally scheduled to occur the night before (Sunday the 9th). I don't necessarily think the NCAA is stuck putting the FCS game on a Monday or Tuesday night when the BCS game is a midweek affair.

good to know. but if they do move it to that Sunday, and the Cowboys (who i hope never ever make the playoffs ever again and hope they go 0-16 from here to eternity) are hosting a wild-card round..it will essentially be the same exact problem, but actually on a much larger scaledanefan wrote: Not necessarily. Yup...no doubt about it. But that's the risk they take anywhere moving the game to the weekend of the NFL wildcard. It would be trouble even if the game was in Chatty and the Titans or Falcons were in the playoffs.fanofallthatisjmu wrote:good to know. but if they do move it to that Sunday, and the Cowboys (who i hope never ever make the playoffs ever again and hope they go 0-16 from here to eternity) are hosting a wild-card round..it will essentially be the same exact problem, but actually on a much larger scaledanefan wrote: Not necessarily. Honest question though, how many times has EWU been in the playoffs, much less went to the National Championship game in the last 20 years?

I saw that too. I still wouldn't be surprised if that date got changed. But you are right. As of now the game is scheduled for January 7th which is in direct conflict with the Cotton Bowl.WWII wrote:It says in the story, linked earlier in the thread, the game is Friday Jan 7th.danefan wrote:
