And that game was in Boone. :ohno:

The UNH game was in Durham though.

The only conference App has struggled with in the history of the FCS is the fucking Southland.
The Southland???? Really???

I we've lost to McNeese & Stephen F Austin...anyone else? Have we beaten a Southland team?

What are we? 1-2 against BSC in playoffs? I know we beat MSU & lost to UM twice...am i missing any others?
We lost to Boise State in 1994. I'm just assuming that they were in the Big Sky. Could be wrong of course.

Northwestern State and Nichols State come to mind as losses. There may be more. We did beat Troy State in 2000, but I don't recall if they were in the Southland.

Yes they were BSC at the time but you guys also beat EWU a couple of years ago to balance the ledgre back out.

App is 1-7 against the Southland all time.

Texas State 1-0
Nichols State 0-1
McNeese State 0-1
Stephen F Austin 0-1
Southeastern Louisiana 0-1
Northwestern State 0-3

Three of those losses were playoff games (Nichols in 86, SFA in 95, NWST in 98). SELA and one of the NWSt games were in the 60's, both TxSt and NWST were in 2004 and McNeese was this past year.

Add in LSU and we're 0-8 against teams from Louisiana.

We have a winning record against Marshall. Appalachian State 14 win -vs- Marshall 8 wins

Do not know why someone brought this up though.

The CAA conference members are always talking about their conference -vs- some team. Why do they not want to talk about the CAA -vs- App State? Convenient. Or just embarrassed?

That's it. You pegged us.

...and it only took you 6 weeks.

Besides, why would anyone from a CAA team start a thread about how poorly we're doing against someone?

Does Superman brag about kryptonite?
Does Achilles brag about his heel?
Does George Costanza brag about shrinkage?

W&M doesn't have much to add in this discussion, only 2-1 vs. App. State ;) . Those wins go back to the 1970's under legendary coach Jim Root :o . Lost most recently (2001) in Boone :( . Would love to meet up with them late this year on a neutral field :thumb: ... maybe in the heart of Texas

Yeah, but it's EWU....can we really count them? Seriously? I mean, do those wins even count in the BSC? :?

1994 (UNH) 6-2
1995 (JMU) 8-0
2001 (W & M) 6-2
2006 (UMass) 7-0

So App was .818 vs the CAA and .884 vs the SoCon. CAA is tougher than the SoCon. Just as we thought.

Well, some of the other 13 years included UMass, Delaware and Richmond winning the National Championships... and 1987 is really an outlier there, so it's really more like a 15 year period.
