Richmond was a very good team. App is a border line great one. That game last Saturday night was awesome. The better team won. I expect the same this Friday and Saturday.putter wrote:I have read the "smack" about App (over on the darkside). Funny how App beats Richmond and most of the CAA posters I have read now say the the Spiders were only the 3rd best team in the conference...how do you figure? it is opinion only and makes it look better that the 3rd best team made it to the quarters and lost to App. some other posters said the Richmond was overrated because they only "squeaked" by in their wins vx. Elon, Delaware etc. Funny how perspective changes to make a point. I though UR was a pretty good team that got beat by an App team that refused to lose.

You are correct Andy, the team with the most points on the board at the end of the game will win. I'd be willing to put money on that.

Re: The only real question is?
You know that and I know that, but there's ONE CAA poster on the darkside who's saying UR is the #4 team in the conference and is using the transitive property enough to make collective heads spin. I think he just said that Nova>UD>McNeese>ASU>UR which might be true, but that's why we play the games. I'm not sure where UM falls into that in his opinionJMU DJ wrote:andy7171 wrote: Richmond was a very good team. App is a border line great one. That game last Saturday night was awesome. I don't really care much - personally I saw a solid UR team fight it out with what I believe to be a good ASU team Saturday. I haven't seen the Griz play at all, only what I've read. I'm just surprised that as much as we've been hearing about how good the CAA is this season (and I believe it) some of the CAA posters don't believe UR is all that good in spite of beating all but one in their division. It's hard to kick UR to the curb after the season they had - I don't think anyone from Elon or ASU would call them a #4 CAA team especially as a CAA co-champ.
Well, which is it?ASUG8 wrote: You know that and I know that, but there's ONE CAA poster on the darkside who's saying UR is the #4 team in the conference and is using the transitive property enough to make collective heads spin. And then there's someone else saying this:
Can we get some consistency here?putter wrote: I have read the "smack" about App (over on the darkside). In my case, it's both. In your second quote, I'm singling out a single poster, Nancy.bandl wrote:ASUG8 wrote: No, my point was that there hasn't been a lot of smack thrown between the two teams themselves, but rather a few CAA guys diminishing both UR's accomplishments and by proxy the quality of the win by ASU.
