What I don't think many people understand is the whole Russia collusion was cooked up because our intelligence services got caught abusing the FISA system to illegally surveil whoever they wanted. After getting caught, they had to come up with a new way to surveil, so they created the Russia boogeyman.

Throw in a few foreign spies and now you've got a way to surveil Americans.
