Uncomfortable is a better word than scared. The point I'm making is that conservatives are fearful of change - so your lack of comfort would be a sign that America is changing for the best.

I don't want you to be fearful in any physical sense.

If Trip was referencing me on violence, I believe that if liberals begin trying to chip away at the Bill of Rights and cannot be stopped peacefully, then yes, by all means violence should be employed to prevent tyranny. That’s why the Second Amendment was written.

The DNC with all its flaws is the best representation of progressive values - and I don't even think they're that progressive...moderates at best. But the GOP is so far right at this point that they're not even on a playing field anymore. It's essentially a new party since Trump grabbed them by the pussy.

The sensible response to major ideological differences is to split a nation, not pursue bloodshed. It would be a major moment in modern history, but splitting nations is far from unprecedented and there's no reason the United States couldn't go on that that path.

We can still work together as a powerful North American federation with a common currency and close military alliances. The only difference would be our different federal governments.

No, first of all it's nowhere NEAR a "majority", and secondly, the tyranny is in attempting to overthrow this form of government and our constitution and make us Venezuela. THAT I will defend with violence. I took an oath when I was commissioned an officer in the US Navy:

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God."
