My sister is a registered Democrat and she didn't vote in the primaries today because she said she can't stand either Hillary or Sanders and if Delaware was an open primary state she would have voted for Trump.

She also plans on voting for Trump in the general if he's the nominee. I'm sure there are several other stories like that across the country as well.

Just saw on Fox News before I left for work that Trump won every COUNTY in every state today. :thumb:

And cosign on Cruz's smarminess. :nod:Image:puke:

I REALLY REALLY REALLY want him to get crushed next week in Indiana

I was watching the results tonight with my sister and she kept wanting me to change the channel when Cruz or Clinton was on, but with Trump she was interested and engaged in political talk with me.

Trump knows how to handle media, a definite positive in the role of POTUS.

Nope.

Wimmin' and most Black people will vote for Hillary.

Did you see Hillary's ads in states with a substantial Black population?

Hillary hasn't always stood with Super Predators...I mean, Black people...but some folks are ignorant enough to believe the ad. :dunce:

DSU...WTF is it with most Black people? :suspicious: Bernie is FAR more of a supporter of minority rights, and the rights of the poor, than Hillary has ever been (or will be). But the dumb azz Black population, led by Black wimmin', is voting for the Wall Street chick whose buddies that threw a lot of Black people and low income people out of their homes.

Cruz is one of the major reasons why Trump has done as well as he has for the past year - Cruz is basically the other guy in the Republican primary and, when you see them side by side, Cruz is so unlikeable and so unelectable that Trump starts to look good by default. Cruz is essentially unelectable in the vast majority of the country. I think Trump is a buffoon in many ways, but he's proven to be a far more electable candidate than Cruz has been. People just don't like Cruz - he's creepy.
Every poll I've seen on hypothetical GE matchups shows Cruz matches up better with Hillary than Trump.

Cruz would probably lose like Romney did, but Hillary would stomp a mile-wide mudhole on Trump because many Republicans will sit at home or vote third party and Trump won't be able to just disavow the nutty things he's said over the last year.

Trump takes 110 of 118 pledged delegates last night. Just a trouncing.

Here is a nice summation of the race going forward with a slider calculator for each state (neat!). Good chance California or New Jersey seal the deal for The Donald:

He'll take both easily. And with him winning every district in PA he'll definitely get a clear majority of the unpledged delegates there as well.

There's a narrative out there that Cruz is the "true Republican" and he'll win in states that are "true Republican", not the Liberal states...Wasn't aware that South Carolina and large areas of the South were "liberal states"Image

Lulz. Cruz is a slimy ambulance chaser. He has no shot in SC. For every Cruz bumper sticker I see, I see 5 or so Trump stickers. I see more trump support than any other "Repuplican."

Sanders' problem is that he comes off as incredibly tone-deaf about race. He often associates minorities, whether intentional or not, with poverty and crime...despite the fact that the majority of minorities (including the black/latino population) are in the middle-class and don't have criminal records. He also gets frustrated/flustered and shies away from openly discussing racial issues. He's certainly a champion of the poor, but again, it doesn't mean poor = minorities. That's his downfall...he consistently links the two.

It's a really off-putting, and ultimately campaign-killing, trait of his. For all her faults, at least Clinton will openly discuss race. And I think she generally understands the issues more than Sanders.

Examples? I haven't seen this at all but perhaps I'm like Bernie. What insensitive things has he said? Which disparate dots has he tried to connect?

His "ghetto" comment is probably his largest one to date; the fact that he consistently treats Black Lives Matter as hecklers instead of a movement is another problem he's been blind to. In the times he's been confronted by minorities, he's either walked off, threatened to walk off, or become angry. It just comes off as dismissive to something that is obviously important to these people.

Cruz has been virtually invisible lately, granted I haven't been glued to any of the 3 political stations. The "Acela primary" was virtually the biggest landslide in either party this year. New Jersey will definitely be similar.

Oh. Microaggressions.... I wonder if a black person has ever claimed that white folks don't know what it's like to live in ghetto?

And I wasn't aware of BLM times other than the one in Seattle where the two idiots took over the stage.

I'm not saying you're wrong that some black voters are turned off by the above two examples but if they are, that's a 100% on them.

MD - 54.4%
PA - 56.7%
RI - 63.8%

Well honestly, I think that type of reaction is also an issue. I've read that a lot of minorities have simply been off-put by how dismissive Sanders supporters are. An eye-roll is the best way to make someone not want to vote for your candidate; thinking you know what's best for those voters is another.

Another point I want to bring up is how Sanders wants a political revolution after the Obama presidency. Like Obama or not, minorities (especially blacks) are extremely proud of his time in office. The fact that Sanders has basically come in and said that everything is failing...well you can see how that's off-putting. You have the nation's first black president and afterwards, this guy is telling you that everything has failed.

Clinton at least acknowledges the progress under Obama's presidency and wants to build upon it; Sanders never acknowledges any of that. He's basically the Democrat version of a Republican telling us how this nation needs a revolution...after the first black president...even though Obama by all measures has been a decent President.

Well, he could make a disparaging remark about Yankees, but then how could you make sense of Trump ass kickings in LA, MS, AL, AR, KY, GA, and SC when there were way more candidates in the race?

Trump wins everywhere except the flyover states for the most part.

By the way, did anyone catch the incredibly awkward rally Cruz held in Indiana yesterday? It was on around 7:30 or so. He was in a supposed "Hickory HS" basketball arena, which was just a fake banner. There was no Hickory HS. The real team that the movie Hoosiers was based on was Milan HS.

Then Cruz tried to recreate the scene where Gene Hackman has an assistant measure the distance from the ground to the hoop to prove that it's still the regulation ten feet.

But, he called the hoop the "basketball ring".

Basketball ring? WTF is that you creepy weirdo?

1) I'm not representing the Sanders Campaign. I'm representing Kalm. So please show me beyond what you've already posted where Bernie has had an "eye roll" moment when it comes to blacks.

2) Regardless of their Obama pride...for being black, how has the Obama administration improved the standing of the black community? Further, since we should all be on the same side without divisions, how has the Obama administration changed the plight of the working poor in general (not just blacks)? What progressive victories has he won?

Not trying to be snarky here, Tripp, I appreciate your thoughts on these matters.

Kind of a nice early strategy by Trump last night of accusing Hillary of using the woman card.

That's still publicly allowed, unlike saying Obama has played the race card.
