Maine was at Richmond, and JMU was home. Like I stated before, Maine is unproven right now. I don't think Maine is all that great either, but we will see next week. JMU has a lot to prove. The loss to Delaware really hurts them right now, and the close win against Richmond doesn't impress. These next two weeks against W&M and Nova will show how good they really are. It's early in the season, but I still think they're over-rated. (Personally I think W&M is the dark horse of the CAA right now. Not JMU, UD, or Richmond.)

Pretty Funny BDKJMU.....are we proven yet?
Hey dumbazz, I didn't say what you are mis quoting me as saying. Twyxx7 said the quote you have falsely attributed to be. Now go back and re read it. Reading is fundamental.. :dunce:

1a) towson- tigers looking for multiple home playoff games
1b) maine- black bears are the most balanced team in the caa
3. Delaware- hens need to go 2-2 to clinch a playoff berth
4. New hampshire- cats need to keep winning to get playoff berth
5. Villanova- see above, best 4-4 team in the country
6. William&mary- don't see a playoff bid for tribe, but they're not quite done yet
7. James madison- same as tribe, losses to UD+W&M hurt badly
8. Stony brook- just a rough year one intro to the conference
9. Rhode island- rams are'nt very good, obviously
10. Richmond- is there a more dissapointing team in the CAA, maybe in the country?
11. Albany- 9,10+11 are interchangable, all pretty bad

When this was posted, it was accurate. Since then Maine has proven itself to be a top contender. As Twyxx stated, the games against W&M and Nova were their opportunities to do so and they have. Two point win AT Nova was big.

SBU above UNH? Both beat URI, UNH also beat Nova and Won the head to head on SBU's field.

Wild weekend, still six caa teams alive for a playoff berth, I figure three for sure maybe four bids for the league. So here are my two cents for this week.
1. Maine- now clearly the front runner for the AQ
2. Delaware- hens in with one more win, in for sure with two.
3. Towson- tigers defense could sabotage a deep playoff run.
4. William&mary- tribe feed me crow this week, shocked that anybody could shutout unh.
5. James madison- losses to UD+W&M could kill playoff chances.
6. New hampshire- still a heartbeat, but imho toast now.
7. Villanova- replaces richmond as most dissapointing team in fcs.
8. Stony brook- gave maine their toughest fcs game yet, no quitters there for sure.
9. Richmond- spiders stink, try to play spoiler in final weeks.
10. Rhode island- beat albany, so the rams get out of the cellar.
11. Albany- again, tough first year in CAA football for danes.
I see maine, delaware, towson in playoffs, and either w&m or jmu, not both.

Well, to be fair, nobody out West plays any defense either. Although Towson's defense is considered a weakness in the East, Towson might still have the best defense compared to teams West of NDSU...have you seen the Big Sky scores?

Now, mind you, Ambrose's arrogance, and his party full of hotheaded players - with their penchant for silly penalties - might certainly bring the Tiggers down.

Saaaaay...whatever happened to all those nova fans? Basketball season must be starting. 8-)

Nova fans here and still looking forward to the Blue Hens game CluckU! Don't count your chickens!!
B-ball season underway and Cats clobbered West Chester in an exhibition at the Wells Fargo Center. Should be an interesting season in the new Big East.
Injuries and horrific schedule this year did Cats in. JMU and UNH at home sandwiched by Maine and Towson games. Ouch! Even with that, they had their chances at Fordham and UNH and let the games get away from them. End of the day, they didn't get it done. Robertson and company are still a formidable opponent and capable of spoiling the day for your playoff hopes. Go Cats!!

For what its worth, I think the hens are in at 8-4, minus a maine like debacle happening again. I can't see that happening with the maturing of this team. A rally like the one at towson should do wonders for the hens confidence, and two home games and a half home game against villanova should bode well. The tribe game is close to a toss up, slight #dge to the home team, richmond I would favor the hens by 10 in that one, and another toss up at villanova. If we win our next two home games, the only thing on the line against villanova will be maybe getting a top 8 seed and a first round bye. Two wins and a loss against the the cats would mean a first round home game and then a trip to ndsu, maine, eastern illinois, eastern washington etc, etc. I guess time will tell.

Actually, I'm scared sh**less! We have largely under achieved the last few years even though the talent level has been pretty high. Micky Matthews, thanks for the championship in 2002 ( or was it 04'? ) but you are officially on the hot seat.
The CAA from #2 to #7 or so is pretty much a tossup on game day. You have every right to be scared poopless!

Nah...Towson, despite their habit of self-destruction, is still in the top tier with Maine. Towson gave away their game to nova, and they didn't close down the Hens, but they are still at the top when they put it all together.

Watching repeat of the JMU-Villanova game.Daniel Brown is a good WR for JMU excellent size 6-5 220 caught a td pass.
